About Me

I am an artist living in the Dallas, Texas area with my lovely wife Allison. I like drawin' stuff and eating as much cake and ice cream as I can get my hands on! If you want to see my work, go to www.idrawstuffstudio.com. Please look in my pics to see some of my art. My work with fantastic designer, Kim Griffith, is at www.stevenandkim.com. That site showcases our advertising work. I hope you will have a chance to check that out as well.I added a lot of new stuff to the pics section on November 15th. I hope if you have been to my page before, that you will check it out!Kim and I do all kinds of design, illustration, photo retouching, fine art, CD Design and illustration, photography-you name it! If any of you know someone that uses our sort of work, please let them, and us know! We like to work to cover our expenses on things like food, gas, wheels, ridiculously expensive coffee, soda, art books, clothing, and roofs over our heads!

My Interests

My interests include art of all kinds, coffee, Apple computers, all you can eat buffets, music, wierdos, and ridiculously large Diet Cokes! I am a science fiction and comic book geek, and music fanatic. Some of my favorite artists include Alex Ross, Brom, Boris Vallejo, Todd Schorr, Ashley Wood, Phil Hale, Dan Piraro, Daniel Clowes, John Van Fleet, Jon Foster, Dave McKean, Greg Horn, Bryan Hitch, J.C. Jones, Tim Bradstreet, Jae Lee, Brian Bolland, Glen Fabry, and a bunch of other fine, comic and science fiction artists.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with similar interests. I would like to meet other artists, designers, musicians, fruitcakes and freaks! Well, freaks are ok, if they don't stalk me. Har har!

Music:

I don't listen to much music on the radio, or that comes blaring out of low-riders or oversized pick-ups. I like industrial, ambient, electronic, classical, metal, punk, alternative rock(is it still called that?), and other types of music that defy description. Some of my favorite bands are KMFDM, Shriekback, Fluke, Yello, Front Line Assembly, Delerium, Dead Milkmen, Juno Reactor, The Offspring, Lacuna Coil, Loreena McKennitt, Nine Inch Nails, Apoptygma Berzerk, The Birthday Massacre, Blonde Redhead, Butthole Surfers, Cocteau Twins, The Cramps, Crash Test Dummies, The Cult, Deep Forest, Depeche Mode, Enigma, Fair Sex, Front 242, Funker Vogt, The Future Sound Of London, Gary Numan, The Ghastly Ones, Hanzel Und Gretyl, James, The Jesus Lizard, Kate Bush, Killing Joke, King Missile, Ladytron, Laurie Anderson, The Legendary Pink Dots, Lisa Germano, Marilyn Manson, MDFMK, Melotron, Mesh, Mike Oldfield, Ministry, Minus Story, Moby, New Order, Nina Hagen, OhGr, Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman, Ottmar Liebert, Patrick O..Hearn, Peter Gabriel, Peter Murphy, Love and Rockets, Pig, Pixies, Planet P Project, Primal Scream, The Prodigy, Project Pitchfork, Rammstein, Recoil, Revolting Cocks, Robin Guthrie, Sarah McLachlan, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Sister Machine Gun, Skinny Puppy, Slowdeck, Massive Attack, Sounds From The Ground, A Split Second, Stan Ridgway, Teddybears, Therapy?, They Might Be Giants, Switchblade Symphony, TransGlobal Underground, Ulrich Schnauss, Vangelis, Vast, VNV Nation, Way Out West, World Entertainment War, Zero 7, Dead Can Dance and zillions of others. I love music! I realized after I made this list that I forgot "The The." How could I forget a mega-genius like Matt Johnson? Especially, when his song "Jealousy of Youth" pretty much sums up being middle aged like I am? :) Bitter and cranky-ha ha!

Movies:

Whatever is showing on fifty cent night at the dollar theater. I love the three day old popcorn with lots of butter and cockroach bits!

Television:

I watch Southpark, the news, and whatever my wife is watching. I am an original Star Trek geek, and I love funny cartoons.

Books:

I love comic books, art and design books, computer books, ect. I read tons of Star Trek books as well. What can I say? I am a geek!

Heroes:

Ash on "Army of Darkness," and Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock of course!
