Tengal is a composer and interdisciplinary artist working with new media, sound, music, video, film, performance, and technology, and is based in Manila, Philippines. He is also an actor and an amateur filmmaker of his own right having acted, composed music and has designed sound for internationally acclaimed Filipino filmmakers Lav Diaz, Khavn dela Cruz, Roxlee, John Torres and Raya Martin. Tengal was the first Filipino composer and sound designer among the thirty film composers from 120 countries to be accepted to attend the Berlinale Talent Campus 2006, in Berlin, Germany; and most recently at the 5th Asia-Europe Art Camp: Re-Vision Bangkok | New Media Art and Interactivity.----------------------------------------------
---------------------------Working primarily in the underground art scene of Manila, he curates and organizes, as well as performs in various new media shows in various art spaces in the Philippines. He founded and organizes SABAW -- a Manila-based artist-run initiative and non-profit platform for all kinds of information and communication carried via new electronic media. SABAW also represents a cross-section of new media artists, performance / interdisciplinary artists, contemporary musician-composers who find it difficult to release their material through more conventional channels.---------------------------------------------------

structures, interactive architecture, cloth, natural sand, performance, computer software and the internet.
