About Me

I teach Kindergarten through Fifth grade music. I spend most of my evenings bellydancing when I am not hanging out with my husband or my dog Jackie. I just auditioned for a middle eastern dance ensemble and made it. So I will be dancing with Ensemble Mumtaz now. I am totally excited.Roy and I got engaged on July 4, 2005 on our Carribean cruise! Maybe it was not the most romantic of proposals...but it was perfect coming from Roy. I did not see it coming at that time. We has an amazing day that day and went snorkling right after he proposed. This past summer on July 22, I got married my awesome husband Roy! We had a gorgeous beach wedding. We spent a week in Maui with friends and family and had a great week alone in Kauai! I think we ate way too much shaved ice. Totally fun!Roy and I are currently taking a pottery class together although I am not as good as he is I am still having fun. I should not feel too bad as he has been taking for much much longer than I.I like meeting up with my friends for drinks or dinner. I like to drink white russians. I love wine tasting. I can spend the entire day at the zoo. The gorillas are my favorite to watch. There is a gorilla at the zoo named Kojo. He is my favorite animal in the entire Washingon DC zoo. I love to travel. I love the beach and warm weather. I like going to the pool in summer. I can spend all day at an art show. I am going to start taking a pottery class in October! :) I love having friends come over for dinner parties. I love live music. I use to play the oboe. I don't play it much anymore. I wish I had more time to play it. I like watching movies especially one snow days. :) Netflix rocks! I like to get all dressed up and go out. I love shoes...especially dansko shoes. I like to read "People" magazine and take bubble baths. I like to drive my convertible. I like opening the mailbox and getting mail. I like to play Sims 2.I sometimes would like to runaway and join Cirque du Soleil. Who knows? Maybe I will someday. :) If I ever go missing you know where to look first.

Bellydance, Bollywood, Art, Music, Travel, Amusement Parks, Oboe, Comedy Clubs, Musicals, the Zoo....I love the polar bears, gorillas, and panda bears (good ol' butterstick). Currently taking a pottery class. :) I Would like to try handbuilding at some point, after I get a little more comfortable on the wheel.

Lilly Allen, Regina Spektor, They Might Be Giants, Shakira, Bare Naked Ladies, Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, Jimmy Buffett, Her Space Holiday, Spilled Soup, Natasha Atlas, Nancy Ajram, I love most musicals such as Wicked, Avenue Q, Mamma Mia, and Rent.

Movies:

I like mainly Independent films. I also watch a lot of Foreign films as well as all the Bollywood movies. I like comedies and dramas. :) I loved the movie "School of Rock."

Television:

Veronica Mars, Lost, Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me, Six Feet Under, Weeds, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy (although some of the surgery scenes gross me out!)

Books:

I usually don't have time to read. I am lucky to read my People magazines and Cosmo each month. I think the last book I read was some Jane Green book I read while traveling on bus through seven countries in Europe.
