Face-Off of Queens Village in the north side of Jamaica, Queens, NY,
is an up and coming MC making major moves. Shortly after being born in
Brooklyn, Face and his family moved to the Queens Village where he
attended Catholic school. Came home from his first incarceration and went to Andrew Jackson high school. Despite strong family support and a good
education, his loyalty to the streets and his crew kept him in trouble
through his teen years. After being incarcerated twice for gun charges, Face-off
decided to get serious and pursue his true love - MUSIC.
While in prison he acquired his GED and used the experience to
wizen up and sharpen his skills as both an artist and businessman.
After being released, his crew formed Government Square,
a group consisting of him and several friends who share similar goals and beliefs.
Both controversial and conscientious lyricists taking the angles of the street and the code it takes to survive in them. Face-Off acquired his name because of his ability to
always be on the offense, face any obstacle and overcome it...Whether
its surviving a shooting or rocking a crowd of 5,000.
Face-Offs biggest influences are Kool G Rap, Biggie Smalls, Nas and
Russlle Simmons as well as few hot artists. His album,
Ride With Me: Album for the Streets, is currently available. It features
collaborations with Government Square, R.A.P. (Respect And Power, of Cambridge,
MA), and Bad Boy recording artists Joe Hooker and Jack Knight. A song
with Black Rob was realeased on a Dj Absolute cd last summer that shouldn't been leaked b4 B.R's albumn dropped but.. He's currently in the works of putting 2 albums on the street this year..
FACE-OFF also rocked numerous colleges and clubs in the NYC and
Boston areas, from S.O.B'S and Jamroc in Long Island NYC to the Strand Theatre in Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. He also opened up for Lord Tariq
& Peter Gunz Via satalite on the FOX television program Video Zone.
