About Me

My life is not the normal cut and paste craft project that you do in first grade. In first grade I was doing Physics homework with my dad. By third grade I was running a small business out of my locker. They sent me to special school one day a week with the three cutest, smart girls in my grade and we got to do puzzles and shit and think that we were special. My greatest realization to date is, even though I am special, so are you, and so is everyone.
i am a warrior poet and I wander. I am not always happy but I am always honest. If I am being quiet it is because I have nothing nice to say or my body has turned my mouth off to save energy. I eat for three and I can't afford myself.
I'm inches away from traveling the world on a penny-pinchers budget. I like slow mornings with my guitar. I will never settle down. I laugh for no apparent reason. It's because I am happy.
This last paragraph is funny. I wrote it years ago now. Most people think of settling down as this home with the white fence and the grocery store and walks around the block. I have always thought that settling down was something that happened in your mind.
Now I am home. Austin. I have a beautiful family with a furry four legged son and a daughter from the Andes mountains of Peru who also does not have opposable thumbs. I love going to the grocery store, and walking to the dog park, but the last thing I am doing is settling down. The energy flows through me even faster now. There are so many fun things to do, and our family loves to do them.
Rock Climbing.
Evolution Motion.
Yellow Bike Project.
It is just now beginning, and although my nomadic days of a man and a backpack are over, my wandering is never done. I adventure through myself and grow and change. I stretch my perceptions of who I am and who I can be, and then I step firmly toward the perceptions that warm me. It makes me a CEO, and a volunteer, and a monkey stuck to rocks by tips of fingers and toes. Life expands and I strive to fill it.

My Interests

I mostly concern myself with actualizing world peace and expanding human consciousness, meaning, big breakfast, nappy lunch, and dinner, midnight snack. In between those meals, Stretch, Rock Climb, Communicate, Evolve Motion, Ride Bikes. I quit smoking and now I have all this energy. My lungs like it.

I'd like to meet:

girls and boys that want to change the world.
people that have something important to say.
basketball players, rock climbers.
penguins, pelicans, and llamas.
kama and sutra.
wilderness experts and tour guides.
costume designers and cartographers.
gardeners and gorillas.
engineers and architects of an evolving world.

Music:

homegrown stuff off the back of a truck like fresh strawberries. spontaneous explosions of sound. a timid, out of practice, heartfelt genius. The Spirit of Natfield Littlecourt. Grazz. KoBo Fufaru. can you play the sitar? then i like you. ANYTHING I HAVEN'T HEARD BEFORE. i love to pass judgement and bounce. Music that makes people take off their clothes...yes. Ween. Silver Jews. Melodious PUNK. Funk, can't forget the funk. Ambient and Industrial. Middle Easetrn Elevator Music. the standards of yesterday and today. Tom Waits... That perfect moment when you are all really there and you all know that you are there and it sounds so good, you never want the moment to end.

Movies:

In America, Life Aquatic. Mystery Men. Amelie. The Day The Earth Stood Still. The Big Lebowski. Primer. Coffee and Cigarettes. Kung fu Hustle. Idiocracy October Sky, Last of the Mohicans. Pi. Romeo and Juliet. Benny and Joon. A Convenient Truth, which is not what you think. Hard to find, but I have a copy. Rad. possibly my favorite movie. District B13.

Television:

I have a television addiction problem. "I watch teevee because I'm unhappy and i'm unhappy because I watch teevee. it's a viscious cycle." i just think television is a waste of time. I would rather be doing something.

Books:

Ayn Rand, The fountainhead, or atlas shrugged. Be Here Now, the hundreth monkey, Ringo Levio, Why I Am Not a Christian where's ralph waldo emerson, Stream of Conciousness ramblings with shitty punctuation. people's scrapbooks. I will read your diary. that's the good stuff. Catcher In the Rye, more here later. Malcolm X's Autobiography is a perfect example of honest, transcendental literature. Read it, Re-read it, Admit it. Winters Tale by Helprin. Snow Crash.

Heroes:

I dig on the human mind and i find heroic eyes in most of the people that I meet. I believe that heroes are people who see the now. The now is an extension of the past and only an instant away from the future. Heroes are those that make that present roll seamlessly into the future. Michael Jordan, Cody Minshew, Jon and Jeremy Stadlin, Matthew Henimen, Theodore Jaquith. Anybody who gained consciousness and didn't deny the path that it offered.
