About Me

Spider Von Manhayden, Guitar: After honing his chops in the dirty, beer soaked clubs of post-industrial Berlin, Spider moved to LA and immediately joined Steel Cobra, replacing Stevie Fonanelle on lead guitar. His lightning licks quickly earned him a reputation as one of LA's most sought-after shredders. Spider met Butch R. Block backstage at the ill-fated "Metal for Gandhi" benefit concert in Munich which ended in tragedy when 12 concertgoers were crushed to death when a poorly secured statue of the great pacifist fell on them. Sobered by the tragedy, Butch and Spider formed their now legendary partnership. They founded Wuppertal and collaborated on such classics as "Insanity Times Ten", "Monkey of the Night" and the grandiose rock opera "Weeping Children of Mars"; the first triple album to go triple platinum.
Doug Deep, Drums: The son of acclamied jazz drumer Lester DiPrizio, Frank DiPrizio started playing drums at age 9 and was soon wowing the local Houston scene with his unprecidented perediddles, flams and perfectly conditioned hair. After struggling for years in Houston's underground soft-core porn industry Frank decided to change his name and go back to banging drums for money instead of chicks (banging chicks, he reasoned, would come with being a drummer). After moving to LA and breaking the Whiskey's house record for most broken drum heads in one set (thirteen) Doug crossed paths with David Beef Broth, who was fresh off his stint with Krackerjackal. The two became fast friends, bonding over booze, porn and hair care secrets.
Butch R. Block, Bass: Butch R. and Paul R. Block, heirs to the H & R Block family fortune, got their start in rock & roll after their father bought them their first record deals in 1980. Paul's band, Krackerjackal, was initially the more successful of the two winning an opening slot on the Raven's Crest world tour in 1981. Butch's first band, Megavixen, floundered on the LA scene. Despite thunderous bottom end and legendary drinking binges, Butch was unable to score a major gig until meeting Spider in 1982 when they formed Wuppertal. Sadly in 1983, compelled by a sense of loyalty to his recently overdosed brother, Butch left Wuppertal to fill his brother's 7 inch platforms in Krackerjackal. Creative differences and an incident in Des Moines Iowa convinced Butch to take his unparalleled low end elsewhere but not before realizing that young Krackerjackal front man David Beef Broth would be coming with him.
David Beef Broth, Vocals: Upon sneaking a Black Sabbath record from his Uncle's record collection, the teenager then known as David Scheckelman knew that he was destined to be a rock singer. By the time he landed in LA in the summer of 1981 he had changed his name to David Beef Broth and grown an impressive mane of curly brown hair. It was the hair that got him his first real gig singing for Krackerjackal, a cult favorite on the LA strip that featured Paul R. Block on bass. David is credited with pulling friends Doug Deep and Butch R. Block together for a late night, Jagermeister-fueled jam session. This was the beginning of CAMAROJUANA!

Usually with the help of Jagermeister, or the boys own patented "Mullet Bomb". A shot of Jager dropped into a half pint of PBR and chugged. Mmmm...
Sounds Like: The year was 1984. While traveling from the Iron Curtain Metal festival in Moscow to the Castle Knebbinton "Metal For Polio" benefit in London, Camarojuana's plane went down over the icy northern reaches of Finland and the world lost quite possibly it's hardest rocking band. Or so it thought....
20 years later an arctic research team stumbled across the frozen Learjet. The band was defrosted in a Los Alamos research facility and immediately picked up where they left off...rocking, drinking and shagging their way around the world leaving a path of destruction, empty Jagermeister bottles and paternity suits in their wake.
Once again the world is feeling the thunderous tsunami-like drums of Doug Deep, the bowel shaking rumble of Butch R. Block's bass, the mind boggling shred of Spider Von Manhayden's guitar and the over the top, mullet-fueled rock star pyrotechnics of front man David Beef Broth!
