They are no ordinary DJ crew or sound system but moreso a full-on stage show for clubbers.With a unique ability to alter their style for different ocassions, the Starlight Family have won fans from all sectors of the Urban Club Scene not just in the UK, but globally.In London the Family have earned a strong reputation for filling clubs every week for years – Their residency at Club 8090 @ Corks in the West End ran for 7 years with Scrunch @ Capital Club passing the 3 year mark in February 2002.On the road, Starlight Family have appeared many times at the world famous Southport Weekender events as well as regularly headlining at the Junction Cambridge, Matrix in Reading, The Escape Club in Brighton, Brunel Rooms in Swindon, Sugar in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tots 2000 in Southend, The Old Bank in Southport, Stoosh in Loughborough and others plus many one-off appearances ranging from Aberdeen to the South Coast.International appearances have included sold-out gigs in Ghana, Holland, Norway, Jamaica, Ireland & Sweden.They have played bills supporting many artists including Destiny’s Child and Craig David – not forgetting the night Macy Gray was enjoying their show so much that she asked if she could join in the performance on stage – legendary stuff.Starlight Family are hailed as the most original RnB collective coming out of the UK, yet they also play UKG, Hip Hop, Ragga and Club Classics as well.
