sleeping, talking, having the odd shandy, music, jumping up and down when the mood takes me, travelling, houmous, Guess Who?, romantic gestures, fancying men in bands (it's a problem), boiled eggs, running groups for people with dementia (how about a sing-song? how about a public hanging?), meatballs, procrastinating
I'd like to meet:
Bodie from The Professionals...woof woof
Music:
Gawd, where to start? Strokes, Razorlight (Up All Night only), Kooks, Killers, Maximo Park, Bloc Party, White Stripes, Kasabian, Belle & Seb, James, Rolling Stones, Blur, Oasis, Stone Roses, Fairport Convention, Jewel, Dire Straits, Rufus Wainwright, Bravery, Blondie, Powderfinger, Flaming Lips, Ocean Colour Scene, Arctic Monkeys, Hard-Fi, Sublime, Don McLean, Buddy Holly, Chantal Kreviazuk, Divine Comedy, Irish folk tunes, Simon & Garfunkel, El Presidente, Gomez, Snow Patrol, The Streets...I don't know...ask me tomorrow & it will all be different...or at least in a different order with a few modifications
Movies:
Shawshank Redemption, Memento, Dirty Dancing & Grease (oh yes), Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Usual Suspects, City of God, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, American History X, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Trainspotting, Good Will Hunting, Dumb & Dumber, anything with Gael Garcia Bernal in it (shallow, moi?), Swingers
Television:
Not that much...if I had to watch something then Sex and the City, Frasier/Seinfeld or one of those true-life documentaries about feral children, dating agencies for people with learning disabilities, children that will never grow or similar. Truly fascinating.
Books:
Pride & Prejudice - in fact anything by Austen (AKA how to read chick-lit & still look reasonably intelligent on the tube), The Language Instinct (Steven Pinker - read it, read it), Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Bridget Jones, but the best book in the world ever...Matilda by Roald Dahl
Heroes:
My mum and dad...and I mean it. You try raising 6 kids in St Raph's and producing such fine upstanding members of the community. Also, the inventor of GHDs.
