Hennesy del Prado’s biography
After cutting a dashing figure on the dance floor at just about all the best (and worst) parties in Carinthia/Austria, he decided to go out into the big wide world – to Vienna. In 1996 he began working for XXX Productions – at the time, Vienna's largest organiser of events (and well known for its Gazometer Raves) – where he discovered the ins and outs of organising and planning events. In the process he got to know a large number of interesting people in the business, and was soon able to talk with them on an equal footing about their various work as DJs and producers.
The many informative things he heard during that period soon led him to discover his own interest in becoming a DJ. The start of 1997 saw him buying turntables and his first records to go with them. Up to that stage in his life he had put very little time and effort into the pursuit of his hobbies, so he thought that this pastime would turn out to be just another short-lived fad, but – as ever – things were to turn out quite differently.
In the very same year he made his first and very creditable appearance as a DJ and quickly managed to carve out a niche for himself in the scene. His reputation among insiders began to grow and grow, and ever since he has been manning the turntables at various events in and outside Austria as DJ HennesyTM.
In the following years he went to the Juicy Pool youth communications and sponsoring agency, where he acquired a great deal of know-how in marketing, the devising of strategies, efficient customer service and guidance, new ideas and conceptual planning – in fact, just about any field of specialist knowledge required in the modern world of advertising. Until February 2003 he was responsible for handling key client accounts at the bcom full service advertising agency.
From that time on his life has been inseparably linked to music and DeeJaying.
In addition, as a member of the Direct Soul association, he teamed up with Marina-Anna Virgolini and Marco Marino in 2001 to organise the legendary "OBSESSION electronic music festival" in Carinthia's Terra Mystica.
In November 2002 he was voted on to the association's board of directors and has since further intensified his work with Direct Soul. The intention is to create a platform for music enthusiasts, DJs and producers of electronic music.
His major passion, however, is reserved for discovering and promoting new acts, such as "CLARK CELVIN" from Carinthia/Austria and "TWO DOLLARS", the dynamic DJ duo from Linz/Austria. He managed the young DJ team and taked care of plans, promotional work and performance arrangements for the budding artists. Meanwhile they are working on their own Label "CoraZound" and organizing - extremely successful – Houseclubbings. Besides that they published already two Vinyl productions.
Such achievements have also been made possible by the work he does for the Direct Soul association.
Last but not least: he and two of his DJ colleagues (DJ Stardust and DJ RPM from Carinthia) have also produced his first House Mix CD entitled "SoHouse Compilation Vol. III" for the Bar Soho in Villach under the pseudonym "ROYALSOUND Inc.". It was released in October 2002!
In 2006 he chooses a new Artistname and from DJ HennesyTM became DJ Hennesy del Prado. O-Ton: „Sounds like a bit of Summer, House-Music and pure fun",… …what you get again and again presented in his funky progessive Party-House-Sets...
