The young girl in me still wants & believes in the fairy-tale..once upon a time... I don't believe in giving up when I set my mind to something I know is right. Being a taurus, I'm very stubborn & bull-headed, but then again it could be the Irish, German, or French that runs through these veins. I can have a temper when duely provocated, but it takes alot to get me riled. Once there, I won't back down...I am a very big advocate for child abuse & domestic violence in it's many forms & guises. Nothing sickens my heart more than a coward that would sink to such levels to harm a child or woman & derive pleasure from it...
I'm also against abuse of religion & using it as a crutch & mask in disguise to achieve self-again & as a ploy to mislead others. Example: Going to church doesn't make you a christian anymore than standing in a garage makes you a car. If you can't practice what you preach, then don't preach at all. That's what makes a hypocrite so notorious. Ummm.. My own father comes to mind. This is for you, my new friend. Bless you & your family & keep you safe always............I love to write.....poetry & short stories. Mostly of a dark & deeply passionate nature, but lately I feel the need to write about other things too that have touched my life too. I plan to continue with my current novel as time allows, & perhaps write in a totally different direction afterwards.I adore art. As of a few weeks ago, I did something I thought I would never do again...pick up a paintbrush & continue where I left off almost 18 years ago. All of these images run through mind & I am excited at the prospects they could bring.So many things are changing, pages turning, & doors opening, but yet I am still me.............

I also like to write stories & poetry of a very sensual nature.....Research....ancient history of many eras (Egyptian, Viking, Mideval, Greek, etc.) & people (psyche & various lifestyles)... Art...painting, sketching, & appreciation of all forms....Photography (hobby of mine. I have over 60 albums & scrapbooks)...portraits, still-life, animals, scenery, etc..........Vampires.. (main topic of the current book in progress), wicca, meditation, astrology, the unexplained, spirits, heightened perception, angels, dreams, spirituality, reincarnation, etc...Dancing, horseback-riding (I adore horses), hiking, 4-wheeling in the mountains, cooking, various music, nature, cats, old/ancient structures & ruins, etc...Open-minded persons that are willing to think outside the box.....I collect antique literature, music, vampire movies & literature, antique books & furniture, & egyptian, medeval, & indian pieces..... I'd like to meet:

Kindred spirits that are open-minded & aren't afraid to climb over the walls of mundane reality & step into the unknown. Remember, just because you can't see or feel it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I really gravitate toward souls that are creative, artistic, & expressive in one form or another.

Music:

Dance, techno, latin, classical, soft & hard rock, pop, country (80's, 90's & current), mood, etc...(a bit of everything....mood dictates)... Evanescence, Rob Thomas, Shakira, Seether, Green Day, Nickelback, Madonna, Sting, The Corrs, Scorpions, Led Zepplin, Clapton, etc.. The louder the better! Music is my soul. I have a vast collection of cd's (lost count long ago) & I also have a large collection of music videos from the early 80's to date.

Movies:

Dracula, Interview With The Vampire, Queen of the Damned, The Lost Boys, Braveheart(love the Gibson!), Pirates Of The Carribean (anything starring Johnny Depp! :-), Gone With The Wind, The 13th Warrior, etc......I like some horror (my favorites are vampire flicks), adventure, comedy, classics, historical (pirates, vikings, ancient wars, etc..), & I'm a sucker for a good romance movie. Mood dictates....

Television:

LOST, The Closer, Nip Tuck, HEX, Saved, Ancient History Documentaries, Supernatural, Grey's Anatomy, E.R., Charmed... I don't watch alot of t.v. unless it's something that really interests me.

Books:

I adore books, & love to read. Knowledge is power, & I just can't keep from wanting to know more. Some of my favorite authors are: Bram Stoker, Stephen King, Dan Brown, Anne Rice, Shakespeare, Tennyson, Emerson, etc.. I love to read ancient history....medieval, egyptian, greek, vikings, roman, etc... I also collect books, & some are well over a 100 years old.

Heroes:

Tina Turner: because of the odds (domestic violence) she overcame to achieve her dreams, my sister: for courageously seeking justice to put away a monster, & Sheila (my dearest friend Sheee!): for unselfishly sharing her life experiences with others & listening to her angels.Let us not forget the soldiers that protect & serve our country. I salute you!....I'm so proud of my brother-n-law, Jerry (a soldier since the 80's) & my son, Devon (enlisting)..Bless you!
