The Hearts of Wax

Is Eddie Rabbit the Easter Bunny?

About Me

The Hearts of Wax are a rock band from Los Angeles, CA. It's hard to narrow down HOW's sound. The best way to describe it is a blend of indie pop, garage, and 70's punk. Each member has various influences and musical backgrounds that make it a goulash of sound and energy. Jake (vocals/guitar) has a very heavy Beatles influence but has also digested heavy doses of Metallica and Motley Crue in his guitar learning years. His song writing is a blend off Beatles catchiness with Stooges energy and attitude. Gary (bassist) has a very heavy Black Flag influence. His sound is a steel curtain of rhythmical groove and heaviness. Hard hitting drummer John has a very heavy influence of 80's metal, punk and garage rock. Together... they make an infectious buzzing sound of loud pop madness. The volume, melody and energy of a Hearts of Wax show is guaranteed to mend your broken little heart and strengthen your fragile bones as you sing along to their catchy harmonies. Just what the Doctor ordered!
