Someone who'll help me find the light switch.
People who do not need or use a diploma to validate their intellect (although congratulations if you have one), people who are not too worried about having the latest and greatest.
People who question, but not too bitterly. people willing to understand as well as to be understood, who have an appreciation for the humanity in others. People who can see what's real and what's not. People who can be honest with themselves, and don't spew words that sound like that's the correct thing to say; meaning, I don't like overly strict political correctness. People with similar interests, would do too.
You can't go wrong with music.

The subtle and the dramatic... Jazz, Blues, Folk/Acoustic/Indie, Motown, Standards of the American Songbook, anything 60s/70s (but disco.), almost all kinds of Rock, Showtunes/Disney, certains kinds of classical--I don't know how they're classified, Ethnic/Celtic, New Age, Bluegrass/Newgrass, I love the human voice, anything that haunts, and all the other good stuff...
I also love the kind of music that transcends the boundaries of these labels or genres, and bathe in the glory of its masterpiece.
Ok, I just LOVE music, that's all. It leaves me, and lets me be, speechless.
Walken.
I don't think there is an actual favorite.

children's books because the authors help children to recognize the significance of the little things that 'grown ups' easily overlook and instead magnify them and weave intricacies around them for the hearts of the children, and me. These stories have breathed life into my childhood.
My Dear Mom, the strongest, most understanding, selfless, compassionate, and rationally open-minded woman I know, and my daddy--even though we had our moments. Through these people I was raised an unconventional gal.
