As a native of San Francisco California, the 21-year-old Duce Dolla, born Derrick Hampton, is no stranger to the rap game. At the age of 9, he begin listening to local, Bay Area rap artists such as the RBL POSSE, Rappin 4Tay, 11/5 just to name a few, and began to pick up ideas and concepts for songs, freestyles, and melodies. Growing up in the citys Bay View District has never been a walk in the park for this guy. Being faced with violence, drugs, and prostitution, this cat has seen a lot. ------- Til this day, I am never ashamed to tell any one where I am from. It has been the best experience.
