Emily Hurd [Photography]

My name is Emily Hurd and I am 18 years old studying at Park College in Eastbourne. I am currently studying A2 English, Media Studies and Photography. I have always been creative and although I have only been studying Photography for two years it is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Once I have completed my A levels I am going to take a one year foundation course at Sussex Downs College, Eastbourne. This course will hopefully give me a better understanding of art and design and prepare me for University. If all goes to plan I would like to go to University at the end of 2007 and begin a three year degree in Photography. I have my eye on Falmouth University but will have to see how things turn out.

I enjoy all photography and nothing has really stood out from the rest so far. I enjoy taking black + white portrait shots on my two SLR Camera's but have recently gained a beautiful Nikon D50, digital SLR camera and although I am still trying to figure it all out the results are amasing.

I spent a couple of weeks last summer working for a proffesional advertising Photographer in London. This experience realy opened my eyes to the busieness side of comercial photography and has given me more enthusiasm.

I have taken a few photographs for local bands and I am looking to build up my portfolio, so if you are a band local to eastbourne and would like some new photos please get in touch.

I have created this profile so that I can connact local bands and show them my work as well as showing off my work to friends and strangers. I hope to keep it regularly updated with whatever I maybe working on and would be greatful for any feed back good and bad.
