1st) We have a brand new, never before seen or heard song up on the space,
2nd) We split up.
….Which means this shall be the last ever song we write so please have a listen and see what you think of it.
A few words as to why we split up- be warned you might think this as pretentious bollocks, and you’d probably be right, but its true nonetheless.
To me, Sam and Lew, Demode was more than a gay band, it was nearly everything in the world we enjoyed, it was the basis of our hopes, aspirations, ambitions, enjoyment and a ticket away from the routine drudgery of 9-5 daily life. Apart from relatives and friends it was pretty much the only thing in life we actually cared about, the only thing we honestly put 100% effort into.
It was because we cared about it so much that we were determined not to become another shit local band that writes a few crap songs, gets a myspace profile then rogers everyone up the brown eye with bulletins about how their band is the greatest honour the world has ever had, just by merely being graced with their presence. They then proceed to split up 6 months later because band members egos clash.
There are so many of these bands in every town in the UK that there was kind of a belief amongst the band that we would make ourselves something more than this.
Suffice to say getting ourselves out of this rut of a “local band scene†was happening too slowly if at all. This is why Lew, the bands drummer decided to quit; whilst feeling that the band, in terms of musicianship had definitely created some sweet songs (along with some damn shit ones…) was just ultimately, in terms of public popularity- a fuckin joke. The shame of this had got to him, and to be honest it was getting to me too.
Lew and I felt we had become exactly what we never wanted to be. Another local band stuck in this shit local scene. Sam maybe felt we could work our way out of this, but without a drummer I decided to call it a day.
While I remain proud of some of the songs we wrote, especially this last one "This Is All We Are", I’m not proud of any achievements we made, purely because we didn’t achieve anything to be proud of- or if we did, we didn’t see or feel the benefits of it.
So mega thanks to Joel Roberts for recording all our songs and spending so many sleepless nights working on the recordings.
Thanks to the 10 people reading this bulletin.
Thanks to the same 10 people that came to our very few gigs
And thanks to the 5 or so out of the 10 people reading this, that are vaguely saddened by this news.

Also this latest song, entitled “This Is All We Areâ€. Ash Weston played and wrote the bass. That’s right! For a month or so we were a four-piece! With Sam on guitar! Get in!
