The history of The Jamestones is a complicated, and a very confusing one, especially the aspect of current and former members. To give fans, listeners, and supporters a brief synopsis of the band, it would be easiest to describe the uniqueness and diversity in their tone, sound, members, and of course live performances. The Jamestones was a band founded by Jordan Finn and James Gagnon on the basic principle of having an escape from their base musical tastes, into the shared idea of a Ska group. Ever evolving, the band became much more, their songs creating and developing the brainchild of Jordan, the 'PsychoSka' genre, which is characterized by loud, heavy percussion, rockabilly-fused-with-ska-chord guitar licks, entertaining bass lines, atmospheric tumpet, and not to be taken seriously lyrics. The band's onstage tendencies manage to entertain their audiences, their signature 'Ghost' performance being an instant classic, and the energy levels of the members always exceeding those of the crowd. Despite their lack of musical expertise, The Jamestones continue to make hedway in their genre and community, and intend to become a force to be reckoned with in the near future.
