About Me

I give a crap about very little. For instance, the classes I'm taking right now, who is going to be the next president, why you think your pets are intuitive... these are all examples of things I could care very little for.Right and wrong people... I give a shit about that. And no, I don't stand for all that is right... I don't care, frankly, what is right and wrong.. I just want to figure it out.

My Interests

Look, I'm intuitive enough to figure out your point after approximately 30 seconds of lucid explanation. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt in assuming you're not stupid. Do me the same favor.Other interests include vodka tonics, cooking, reading and vodka tonics.

I'd like to meet:

I'm becoming increasingly difficult to deal with. Mix me a drink and I might calm down enough for you to handle the blather that projects forth.I'm getting cranky.

Music:

Colin Hay, Ministry, Flight of the Conchords, Tonic, Jet Black Stare, Styles of Beyond, Flyleaf.

Movies:

Kingdom of Heaven, Bladerunner, Heat, The Big Lebowski, Fight Club, The Shining, Sin City, Mallrats, Apocalypse Now... I just started my Netflix account back up, I'm getting back to where I need to with that whole mess.

Television:

I'm a big fan of Jeopardy, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, How It's Made, Colbert, I dig stand up comedy and cooking shows.

Books:

Gladwell, Thomas Moore, St. Augustine, Machiavelli, Carr, Palahniuk.

Heroes:

My heroes know who they are. You're not one of my effing Heroes... trust me.

A better damned mood

For a while now.. I've been in a pretty fair funk.  No, I couldn't care less if the market is down.  I don't care if congress can't make up their minds and that the dollar is now equivalent ...

"You’re doing a good thing..."

So classes here in Kansas have started up in earnest.  I view the classes I have to take here as kind of a benefit as much as they are keeping me from doing other things.  The Army education...

Try saying it In Six Words?

Ok so I'm a big fan of brevity.  Now keep in mind when I say I'm a fan... it doesn't neccesarily mean I'm good at it.  As my asshole brother Frank will tell you, it takes entirely too long f...

Moving... but no so much "on up"

For as many times as I have moved in the Army, I'm still not good at it.  I always end up spending too much money on neccesities that probably could have been better planned for before I moved in...

Who put this blog here?

Uh... so yeah.. I get these nice cards from a friend of mine.  This friend of mine (now that I think about it) I’ve had for pretty much the entire time I have been in the Army (ap...

A little can go a long way.

For about the past two weeks I've been in a bit of a funk.  I'm not talking the George Clinton dye your hair pink and drink something you can't pronounce kind of funk... I mean I was just general...

What kind of person are you?

OK so I've had some spare time as of late.  Operations and the like are all going just fine and my team is getting itself ramped back up to doing some more training.  We had to take a break ...

How to fight

It's important to choose your battles wisely.  Now, my occupation notwithstanding,  it's really quite important that you put some heavy thought into what you are going to stand up for but mo...

What we’re doing here

Well, the past week and a half has been really busy for me and the team.  I had stated last week that my team was working on something pretty big in our area.  Well the time has come to tell...
