COMMENTS:

"I want to tell you how much we enjoyed your music performance for our event in Grand Rapids. Just as I had hoped, it was the perfect blend for our varied guest list." --CarolAnne Giustina - On Course Events Event Coordinator for the Jeep King of the Mountain World Series of Mountain Biking

"Arrived on time and performed as scheduled. Great music! Members were all friendly and professional. Awesome trio! Highly recommended. Thanks so much!" E. Pope --Elizabeth P. Bristol, IN 8/12/2006

"I hired String Theory for a 50th birthday party in June 2006. I knew I had hired the right band when they arrived in plenty of time to setup and be ready. All the guys were very accomodating and it was obvious these guys knew what they were doing. We had a few musicians at the party and they were able to get up on stage with them and jam, even if it meant using their gear. They even stayed later than scheduled. If your looking for a band that covers alot of the older style rock and roll... look no more! Give these guys a call!" --Joe W. Rockford, MI 6/17/2006

BIOGRAPHY: String Theory started playing together in early 2002. They evolved from jam sessions happening at fire pits and private parties throughout Southwest Michigan. Their mission is to bring the magic and energy of these fire pit jam sessions to your event.

To accomplish this they use guest musicians playing a variety of instruments. They also perform songs with loose arrangements and open spaces for jams. Often arranging a song differently while in the middle of playing it. The combination of guest musicians and improvisation keeps their music fresh and gives it an excitement that can't be rehearsed.

Both Tim and John have been performing music locally for over 25 years. John has played bass and toured the Midwest with bands such as Mass Quantities, Dream N 3D, and The Detours. He has also put in a lot of time mixing sound for local bands and operating his home recording studio where he has recorded dozens of local singer songwriters. Tim has taken the stage at the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts and has played with many of the areas finest acoustic artists.

String Theory is currently gathering material for an original CD.

We would love to have more photos to use in our gallery and on our website. Possibly even in our press kit we use to get gigs. Especially some from the cool stage at the Tie Dye Festivals. If you have...
