AMARAH a band with a hardcore background, hail from the wonderful city of Muar, Johor.
The band formed in 2001 under the name Abused Minority. After a few unimportant line-up changes, in 2002, changed name to Amarah. Plays first show in Muar Expression Gig pt2 on 30th June 2002.
Influenced by bands such as Caliban, Undying, Zao, State Craft, Poison the Well, The Automata ,Third Wish and Absidia, the band plays metallic hardcore with a little bit of emotional touch.
Amarah also idolize local act such as Rasputin r.i.p, Cassandra, Shaheed, Kharisma, Reprisal, Witness of Darkness (now known as Dahlia)
