Formed over a mutual appreciation of disco beats, handclaps, cowbells, and vocoders, Jamie Paterson and Danny Ashenden are The C90s. Two DJs who have rocked floors over the UK and Europe for the last two years, from smashing Vice nights in Berlin to going back to back with Chromeo in Brighton, their live sets have now moved on to providing remixes for the likes of Soft Cell, Late Of The Pier and Cut Copy. The antipodean three piece included The C90s remix of The Bell's track 'Target Group' on their recent 'So Cosmic' mix CD after discovering Jamie and Danny's stripped down disco reworking that featured on many of Europe's top blog sites. 2008 sees The C90s evolve again as they join ex-Beta Bander Steve Mason on tour as part of the live incarnation of Black Affair, performing tracks from Steve's new album 'Pleasure Pressure Point'. The C90s remix of Black Affair's 'You And Me' alerted Mason to the duo's beat-manipulating skills, and the pair were promptly recruited as honourary members. As well as touring with this live project, The C90s are still DJing, remixing, and also concentrating on producing some of their own original material.
