Luckyfool

Premier Toronto Hellbilly Alt Country Band!

About Me

After a near-death-metal experience in mainstay Toronto band The Newtons, a shaken yet undeterred Rob Revolting re-emerged. Stripped down (the sound that is) and more refined (Rob put a swear jar in his kitchen), Luckyfool is a cool melodic blend of rock, country, folk, surf-pop, punk, small amounts of jazz, and uh, death metal. A Luckyfool set offers an accessible range of styles, from slow ballads to high-energy hellbilly pop that'll keep yer toes a-tappin!!!Check us out @ www.luckyfool.ca for more songs and information.

Band Members: Luckyfool is fronted by the vocal/guitar stylings of Reverend Rob Revolting. The Professor does duty on guitar, harmonica, keyboards, mandolin and backing vocals. Lori Lou covers backing vocals, keyboards and autoharp. "Mighty" Oli Heywood-Jones handles the bottom end on bass. A wide network of fiends and sympathizers provide support on drums, pedal steel, dobro, 5-string banjo, fiddle, and of course the kitchen sink.
Influences: Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, John Prine, the Drive by Truckers, the Lemonheads, Tom Waits, the Ramones, Sublime, the Rolling Stones, Horton Heat, the Supersuckers, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Bob Dylan, and many many more...
