Hello. My name is Phil Wallbank.
I like to write songs in my room, and play them to myself about 100 times. Then, i make acoustic demos of them on this thing called "N-track". Its not a very good demo-making facility, and the only method of making the songs sound reasonable is to put shed loads of reverb on them! As a result, they all sound like they have been recorded in Church hall.
I then play the songs to sulli, and he will say "ooooh, i like that", and he will learn the chords to the song, and work out some fiddly guitar to go over the top. it usually sounds pretty bloody good.
next, the rest of The 'Chord hear the song, and we play it about 30 times, until eventually it sounds good enough to play at a gig. so we do! and everybody enjoys them, and goes home saying to one another "blimey charlie, that Ripchord are a dandy bunch of fellows, aren't they!"
