A WOMAN'S ROLE
From the beginning of time, woman has been given a job
A special task.
From a wife to a mother, housekeeper, chauffeur
Cook and maid, I dare not ask.
From a launderer and gardener, teacher, nurse, a lawyer
And there is even more.
We are all of those things, all rolled into one
Just wait and see what God has in store.
From early in life, we spend most of our time,
Tending to everyone else's needs.
We loose ourselves, by not giving ourselves,
The nourishment on which we feed.
We busy ourselves from dawn to dusk
Our work is never done.
We must always remember to keep in mind,
Our race is not yet won!
If there is never a thank you, or a kind word spoken,
We still must not give up!
It is not from man we receive our rewards,
Or to fill our cups.
Beaten down and tired, it is hard to continue,
Step after grueling step.
We must remember to look to the hills,
From which cometh our help!
No matter about the size, our jobs are all important,
Each and every one!
It was not man with the most important job,
It was Woman, who carried God's son!
