STONEOCEAN have undergone some big changes in recent moths and i documented them quite well and the a sabotage happened and it got deleted. so here sthe short version.al and glenn quit the band over a period of about 4-5 months with al going on to america to become a barman and glenn going second after some attempts to recruit a new drummer, he was recently married to the lovely marita and felt a relocation to her homeland of california was in order. i hope america likes hairy babys.after some deliberation i decided to keep going as i do not want to throw away all that we had accomplished, and keith duignam and gary nethaway (a damn fine rythem section if i say so myself) have come on board. we have been having a blast down in wicklow and around town in the jam rooms playing writing and getting to feel out some new directions.its a shame the old thing went away, but hey it made way for a new thing and new is always great so ride on.we are very excited to be playing together and we cant wait to start to unveil our new songs, im going to try keep this thing as up to date as i can, and im sure the lads will introduce themselves as it goes on so stay tuned.be gud , karacDuring a performance at the Oxegen Festival, the trio sparked the interest of US indie label Ghost Train Records. Within a couple of months the band were signed and brought over to record their debut album in New Yorks prestigious Club House Studios with acclaimed producer Paul Murphy, following up with mastering pro Chris Athens (Cold Play, Limp Bizkit) and design artist Sean Evans (Maroon5, Aerosmith, AC/DC). The album and band have recieved critical acclaim from home press and djs with HMV selecting "one scratch away" for their playlist cd and Alison Curtis of Today fm hailing the band as one of her top bands for 2006...
