Influences: LAKE!!!Lake is most known as the former business partner of rap superstar Nas during his climb of the ranks to become one of hip-hops greatest MCs. He and Nas were close for many years as they both came up hustling and running the streets of Queensbridge, New York in the 90s, and his most well-known appearance is on Nass album Gods Son in the song Revolutionary Warfare. However, Lakes biggest claim to fame is his critically acclaimed LP entitled 41st Side which has sold over 100,000 copies strictly from street buzz alone no radio or video support. 41st Side cemented Lakes reputation as a major buzzworthy underground artist to watch on the East Coast scene, bringing together the likes of Nas, Cormega, Nature, Noreaga, Tragedy and more for the all-star effort. Right now, Lake is hungry for respect in todays hip-hop game. Now signed to Death Row East, Lake stands poised to take on all challengers as he begins his ascension to the top.ABOUT MY BROTHERS KEEPEROn August 22nd, 2006 Lake teams up with fellow Queens talent Cormega to drop a brand-new album of gritty hood tales that die-hard hip-hop fans all over the country will be fiending for. After his recent signing to Death Row East, a signing that has garnered a lot of press coverage all over online hip-hop outlets, blogs and magazines, Lake is in a great position to be introduced at large to the underground hip-hop marketplace by a respected and durable MC such as Cormega. This brand-new album My Brothers Keeper will feature Fat Joe on the first single Dirty New York, and old-school hip-hop icon Greg Nice among other well-known rap artists and up -and-coming talent from the hip-hop hotbed of Queensbridge, New York. The project will include production from the legendary D.I.T.C. producer Buckwild (who has supplied beats for Jay-Z, Nas, Fat Joe, 50 Cent, Outkast, The Game and more), J. Garfield, Ax, Ski and Cormega himself.
