Classic Rock, Hard Rock/Heavy Metal (from it's inception back in the early '70's to the present, all though I'm not a big fan of the '90's Grunge era), some forms of jazz, traditional Celtic as well as Celtic influenced Bluegrass, Classical
Action Films, Comedies, Films with historical signifigance. Also films based on the works of whom I consider the "universe creators" (ie: Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings", Lewis' "Chronicles of Narnia", Rowling's "Harry Potter", Lucas' "Star Wars", Roddenberry's "Star Trek". Musical History/Documentary type films, both fictional and nonfictional (ie: "The Song Remains the Same", "Standing in the Shadows of Motown", "Still Crazy").
I enjoy the "educational" channels such as History, Discovery and National Geographic Channels. Pretty much anything that can stimulate my mind.My father was a huge fan of the "Andy Griffith Show" as I was growing up and as such, I also became a fan, particularly seasons 1-5. I realize it's somewhat antiquated by today's standards, but I still think both the writing and acting were brilliant. I'm not a big fan of the mindless fluff popular today.
I enjoy works from the following authors:Steven King (particularly his earlier works), Isaac Asimov, Jules Vernes, H.G. Wells, Aldous Huxley.As well as the "universe creators":J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling.I also enjoy nonfiction on the following subjects:History, Philosophy, Various Religions. I also subscribe to National Geographic
