WHAT'S UP EVERYBODY!!! My name is Roy Cathey...or Rory Cathey...or DJ ROCKSTAR....it all depend's on which "DECADE OF DEBAUCHERY" you know me from!!! I have had a AMAZING LIFE...AND THE MADNESS CONTINUES!!! My life has been a long strange trip...but here we go...I've been singing in band's since the age of 15. I've never really had a "REAL JOB" at least not for long. Rock N Roll and the "Night Life" has pretty much all I've EVER known!!! I played the SouthEastern Club Circuit with my band "Gibraltar" all thru the mid to late 80's.After several years of playing EVERY "Rock N' Roll" Bar from Pennsylvania to Florida I got my "Big Break!!! A "friend of a Friend" spot's me in a Florida Nightclub singing...passes me a phone # and BAM!!! I'm on a plane for the first time to Audition with M.C.A. Recording Artist's "Cold Sweat" then called Ferrari, after the founding Guitarist Marc Ferrari, formerly of 80's Metal band Keel. If you've ever seen the movie ROCKSTAR...THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!!!I moved out to L.A. in late 89' and watched the decline of "Hair Metal" and the rise of "Grunge". Before it all fell apart I got to play every L.A. Musicial Landmark...The Whiskey, The Roxy and The Troubador to name a few. I played all over the country when Cold Sweat toured with Ronnie James Dio in 1990. Arenas, Theatres, Tour Buses and Private Jet's...WHAT A LIFE!!! GREAT MEMORIES!!! The highlight of my musical career was playing the SuperRock Festival in Manhiem Germany 1990 with Aerosmith, WhiteSnake, Poison and Dio in front of 65,000!!! WHAT A RUSH!!!! With the rise of "Grunge" band's like mine were soon cast aside by "The Industry". My time in L.A. was full of AMAZING times, I lived thru the Rodney King Trail and the Riots. But the 6.7 Northridge Earthquake was really my cue to move from L.A. Which led me to Atlanta, The Olympic's and TITTY BARS!!!Who would've known that my years of "BULLSHITTING" onstage in band's was the PERFECT "training ground" to perfect the skill's of the STRIP CLUB DJ!!!After a "Noble Try" at a "REAL JOB" I was introduced to the world of Strip Club's. Started DJing in them and still do so I can afford my "Rock N Roll Lifestyle"!!! I LOVE MY JOB!!! I mean....NAKED CHICKS GIVE ME MONEY!!! What's not to LOVE!!! And just to let some of you know...."STRIPPERS ARE PEOPLE TOO"!!! I hate the customers that come in and think they can treat the entertainers like TRASH!!! Alot of them are "Good People in a Bad Buisness"...much like myself. I LOVE "Working the Crowd" & "Cracking People Up" on the Mic.I moved back to N.C. in 2000 after my Father passed away.I DJ at Secret Cabaret in Fayetteville, N.C.AND....YES!!!I STILL do the "Rock N' Roll THANG"!!! Each member is not only SUPER TALENTED but just REALLY GREAT PEOPLE!!! I've waited a LONG, LONG TIME to finally get the right combination...I LOVE MY BAND!!! We have some of the greatest fans you could ever want!!! THEY are the reason I still do this "Crazy Rock N Roll Thing"!!! But in all honesty... I just really love performing...I LOVE MUSIC!!! I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL!!! Wait...is'nt that a song??? My greatest "Life Acheivment" hands down are my children!!! I have 2 "AWESOME" kid's named Tara and Dylan and they are my life!!! Kid's really do change the way you look at EVERYTHING!!! It's AMAZING watching them "Grow Up" and seeing little glipses of myself "BLOW ME AWAY"!!!
