In 1997 MEANPEACE was born! Founding member Joe Kooly sets the bar in H-Town as one of the most respected guitarist in the scene. When he met two former members this collaboration began one of the most prolific bands to come out of the Houston scene by laying the foundation of MEANPEACE. After a year of searching he found the inspiring drumming of Augster. His solid grooves and old school metal beats gave the group a solid backbone. About the same time the band met a very talented rapper known as Ghetto-G. With him came the rage and rhymes with street flava giving MEANPEACE the edgyness that it needed. Through years of evolution, good and bad, MEANPEACE had overcome many obstacles. They only added fuel to the fire when they brought on vocalist J-ROC, with his insane stage presence and hardcore vocals. Sonny D was exactly what MEANPEACE was searching for in a bass player. His heavy sound and technical skills takes the sound of MEANPEACE to another level. MEANPEACE has become a machine of hardcore grooves and hip hop rhymes with monster beats.
