Facts about HIV/AIDS:
There are approximately 1.1 million people living with AIDS in the United States. This is the highest number ever recorded.
The Center for Disease Control estimates that 300,000 Americans are HIV positive and do not know it.
The United States experiences an estimate 40,000 new cases of HIV infections each year.
AIDS does not discriminate. Of newly diagnosed infections in Arizona it is estimated that 20% are Latino, 30% Caucasian and 50% are African American.
