About Me

Friends of Fire started performing in 2003, and has become an important entity in the local indie rock scene of New Orleans.

In 2005, the band went to the studio (actually two different studios and a garage) with engineer Adam Frischhertz (ex-Dispensers). After the devistation of Hurricane Katrina, this recording, The Flood, was released.

The band toured the Northeast for 2 weeks in support of the album. (New Orleans LA, Baton Rouge LA, Hattiesburg MS, Atlanta GA, Columbus OH, Philadelphia PA, New York NY)

The Flood was on sale at www.totalriotrecords.net but it is now out of print. A self-titled EP was released in June 2008 while they toured regionally.
