A LITTLE BIT OF 2007 PICS:For all of you that kept telling me over and over again that I would absolutely LOVE San Francisco, this one is for you:
American Cities That Best Fit You:
70% San Francisco
65% Los Angeles
60% San Diego
55% Boston
55% Washington, DCI love, love, love to have FUN, LAUGH, and LOVE the Beach (living in Los Angeles for years, then moving back to TX is tough - Alicia "Fire-a-cracka" & Meredith, I know you can vouch!!), jet-skiing, snow-boarding, tennis, hiking in the Malibu Mountains (when I lived in LA - as well as when I visit if I have the time), dinner with friends, traveling, laughing, YOGA at least 2 times a week!, SOFTBALL - We have our own team this year - LOL - "The Playas!!", basketball, dancing, singing, LOS ANGELES!Most importantly - I'm a fun girl who is adventurous, funny, kind-hearted, and extremely outgoing. There is a side to me that loves to take in even the smallest moments in life - a smile, a thought, a memory. Originally from Texas, my heart is BIG, and my love for the California coast is still within - however my eye has now roamed to the Cayman Islands as I have been looking to buy a vacation home there - thank you Tiffany for your help with this!! I have a strange dichotomy - one side of me is ready to be a perfect mom and wife while the flip side is ever determined and ambitious to make it as far as I can in life. I absolutely LOVE children, and have become a mentor for a networked charity for kids. I also participate in many other nonprofit organizations such as HYPA and CanCare - I really enjoy helping others. I'm a strong girl that knows deep in her heart what she wants - many men find this sometimes intimidating - that's their insecurity. To me, a man has to be strong, determined, yet have that soft tender heart that I would be completely mesmerized with. I'm NOT one to settle. Only time will tell - I'm not in a rush as I want to ensure I have the right person in my life - a true life partner. I have been in love, and what a truly beautiful thing. My heart soars and I would do anything and everything for that certain person. Whoever he may be, I will know and he's one lucky man! ;)
Old friends and all women that will benefit from the new nonprofit we have placed together in memory of my mother . . . Pink Door Nonprofit Organization!
My favorite - LOVE LOVE LOVE music, and is truly the path to one's heart and soul. So much can be said/portrayed without having to say a word through just one song. Music has enabled me to convey my feelings and thoughts in life to the people I love most. U2, COLDPLAY, I didn't know until Grammy's and one of my good friend's know this band personally - Epic Records took such good care of us - Incubus, The Re-birth of Blink 182 - Angels and Airwaves, The Fray, The Cult, Nine Inch Nails, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Michelle Branch, Michael McDonald, Michael Buble, Rusted Root, Rob Thomas, Ol' Blue Eyes-Frank Sinatra, The Killers, Gwen Stephani, and The Goo Goo Dolls.
"As Good As It Gets", "Under the Tuscan Sun" - yes, the ultimate chic flick, "Titanic" - yes, please, but a great film, "Forest Gump" - who doesn't?, "Happy Texas" - worked with Steven Zahn while in LA, CA as assistant publicist, and truly is a great actor, "Dragonfly" - if you haven't seen this and you are a guy, this is a highly suggested date flick, "Six Sense", "Back To The Future" trilogy - you cannot compare to the great movies we had at the ripe ol' age of 10. There are truly so many, can't name them all . . . love all thrillers and almost any comedy!
I have not had much time to watch t.v., however if I did, my favorites are: The Office, Sex and The City, The Girls Next Door, Scrubs, My Name Is Earl, Will and Grace
Love the Wall Street Journal as I love to invest. However, most of the books I read have to do with investments, business, or psychology. I have worked for a couple of large corporations, however always wanted to work for a start-up. Now that I am with a start-up, I have been reading many different business trades and strategy books.
MY MOM AND SUPPORTIVE FRIENDS:In her early twenties, my mother was not only a runway model, but also first runner up in the Miss Texas USA pageant. In her latter years, her love for antiques helped her become one of the top antique dealers in Houston and in Texas. What made her stand out? Besides her accomplishments, she was always there for my brother and I, and showed us how to pursue our most sought-after goals no matter what - we could do it! Unfortunately this last year (August 2005) after five years of battling breast and bone cancer, she past away. She was not only my best friend, but also the best mother you could ever have. I thank her for all that I am today. We are currently in the process of creating a non-profit organization supporting women with cancer on her behalf.Other Heroes in my life over the last few years that have been great friends of mine: Jamey Pippert-Tucker, Heather Callihan, Randa Theis-Scott, Brandon Wong - My Heart, Lynn McKillop and the entire McKillop family, Mary Pippert and the entire Pippert family, Erin McKillop-Dutko, Chad Rufer, Mike Kiser, My Brother, Kim Vandewater, Eric Keller (OMK), Mike Rains, Kim Cole, My Grandparents, Eddie Soontiraratn, Claire Cordell, Penelope Gavrel, Fundio, Kim Eisenberg, Elissa Brewster, Diamond Simpson, Kevin Peranio, SenLy Fox, Zach Brockman, Danny Jones (Little Richard's son), Nash Gomez, Tiffany Thompson, Jodi Johnson, Mike Cassens, Dacques Nini, Daniel Romeo, Alicia Walters, Meredith Barrett, Dawn Sue-Dare, Jason DiNozzi, Kevin & Delayna Cody, Kevin Lind - these individuals/friends/family named above are so important to me, and I thank all of them with all of my heart for helping through so much over the past two years. I wouldn't have been able to surpass my goals, and expectations thus far in life without them.
