Anything that feeds my soul... people are a general interest to me. I am drawn to humor, music, art, drama (as in theater), culture, and nature. I have many passions in my life especially music, my spinning classes, running, fun fun.
Working out, my family, friends, traveling (as much as I can) Broadway plays, fine dining, and anything that makes me sit back and appreciate the finer things in life. I'm a sucker for a guitar and I am planning on taking lessons so that I too may rock out and start my own crazy chic band we will call, "Feminine edge", ha.
I am what as known as a 'girly girl' I love fashion, dressing for success, and accessories. I do not carry too much vanity, but I love to look clean and classy. I think that style is one of the best ways to show your personality, creativity, and aurora. I tend to dress according to my mood. I have gone out one night in my Kangaroos and then turn around and rock out in my vintage t-shirt, ripped jeans, and some crazy boots. I am blinging right now with my hoopty pursues, earrings, and glitter glitter everywhere... beware of me, or you will be going home wearing some type of metallic substance, courtesy of Shortcake.
I am prissy for sure, very well mannered, yet I love camping as long as there is a shower with in 100 yards, ha. Sometimes in the summer I urn to go outside and venture out... rock climbing, white water rafting (the best rush I have ever encountered), and cycling. I wish people would get off of their asses more and go with. My friends and I used to cycle at the Loveland Trail; we'd start there and end up in Lebanon....such a release. I have a lot of energy and spunk and the summer time is with no doubt the best time of my life.
If you know me personally, you know I have just a hint of sarcasm in my persona.... wait who am I fooling??? I am so sarcastic... :) I am quite random, and can't sit through movies without speaking, thanks to the ADD.
I am at a point in my life where the whole bar and club scene is bland to me. I am more interested in things that feed me for my future... I'd rather go hang out and just people watch and listen to others rather than go to a loud bar. I love socializing with the Nati', and I think that those of us reppin'Cincinnati need to all get together and make something bigger out of what's left of our social spots. I am all about meeting random people and having conversations about whatever while great music is behind me. I think that's where my intoxication happens, though. Ha ha....oops.... after that, every song I hear is always, "This is my song!"... This is when you know I have been drinkin. I really cannot stand to be around drunken obnoxious people or angry bar fighting types. I roll my eyes to those people for sure. I have enough of those personalities while I am working-and I don't need to have my social bubble busted either. Make love not war, as I live by.
Sara and me, St. Patty's day!
DJ Hard Hittin' Harry...
I have already met the man of my dreams, and I have wonderful family and friends... so who's left????? YOU! Your mom, dad, the dog, the mouse in the attic. I love to meet new people, and I make friends wherever I go. My close friends make fun of me because I am always starting conversations with randoms. Like the gas station attendent, the grocery shopper next to me...etc. I have always wanted to meet people that I would never come across in this life. John Lennon, JFK, Icons from generations past. Americans are obsessed with the rich famous, and paparazzi victims. I have no desire to meet them, unless it is someone that I find incredibly talented, or offers me a piece of mind. I just do not find the fascination in these people myself. Is it their external beauty that we are in awe of? We all could look that good if someone else was putting in hours perfecting our bodies for us. And really, what can Paris Hilton do for me? I have my own fashion sense, thanks. If you have read my profile in the past, there was a paragraph in this exact spot dedicated to Chris Martin, Coldplay's lead singer. I was holding out for my Chris Martin hero type... and I wasn't holding my breath. Not too long ago there was a knock at my door and in walked this guy....way better than Chris Martin....so, lately I have been focusing on my attention on matters of the heart... something that I have looked away from in a few years. This guy has managed to float inside my mind and someone has told him where to find the key that I forgot existed. He is my drug of choice. He is the kind of drug that rehab does not treat...and the kind of drug that you wont find on the street.... BUT, HE DOES LIKE TO FLIP ME OFF AND,HE WALKS AROUND WHEN HE BRUSHES HIS TEETH.BUT,I CAN LOOK PAST THAT! HR SIZE=10 WIDTH=50% MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC! DAVID GRAY/AQUALUNG MARCH 7, 2006 @ THE TAFT THEATRE. MY AMAZINGLY UNEXPECTED BIRTHDAY PRESENT FROM ONE INCREDIBLE BOYFRIEND....

Lately I have been into a lot of indie/ rock, and folk type artists. I am a sucker for an acoustic song as well. Take any classic piece with just a voice and an acoustic guitar and it's like hearing a new song for the first time. Music is my therapy and my celebration all in one. When I was a child, I used to get my mom's round hairbrush pretend like it was a microphone and turn on Mariah Carey, The Jackson Five, and The Beatles. I'd rock out for hours with that stuff! Now, at the age of 23, I have a real microphone, and I blare everybody from Avril to James Taylor. I still rock out. Dreams don't die easily. I can't live without Coldplay live concert and DVD, and anything by The Beatles. I am a fan of British music. I don't think us Americans often get what music is all about. Sure, I like a good beat, but I really don't want to hear a song about drugs, who's banging who and how. I am looking for something that makes you think, not take your pants off. My passion for music started early in my life. I was the child singing the lyrics to every song on the radio. I can remember dancing and singing to Lionel Richey's album with my grandma. As I became older we noticed my singing voice and I began to sing anywhere I could... some where some one has a video of a 10 year old Elisha singing at some drunken guy's 30th birthday party. I went up to the microphone while the band was on break and belted out Whitney Houston's "The Greatest Love of All". I took singing lessons and decided to stop (should have stayed with it) because the guy made me sing... 'A-E-I-O-U in twenty different ways.I have a killer "closet" voice. I made that term up which means, I can sing like krazy, but too shy to do so unless a Long Island is involved. I was always deemed pecuilar by my peers because while their rooms had teeny bopper pictures, I had very elaborate Beatles pictures hanging in my room.
I once rolled into Hollywood Video and resorted to the old movies because I had seen every new release, including the dumbest movie ever, 'Freddy Got Fingered', yeah-bad memory for sure. I love kicking back for a movie especially those that leave you with a different outlook on something or ones that make the milk come out of my nose. Movies that have stood out in for me so far- Forrest Gump, A League of Their Own,Dead Poets Society, A Beautiful Mind, Vanilla Sky, Breakfast At Tiffany's, Flashdance, Footlose, Fame (hey, I was a dancer for years), I Am Sam, Training Day, Almost Famous, Rock Star, Gossip, Firefly, Gangs Of New York, The Butterfly Effect, Men Of Honor,Scar Face, The Shawshank Redemption, The Patriot, Braveheart, Casino, Office Space, Philadelphia, Schindlers List, The Sweetest Thing, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Dodge Ball, It's Pat, The Blues Brothers, Dead Man Walking, Cocktail, The Breakfast Club, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Shakespeare In Love, Girl Interupted, Boys Dont Cry, Recent favorite, Elizabethtown.
It is very rare that I will sit down and watch a show that I feel the need to repeat at the same time next week. In fact, the only show I have ever engulfed in is Sex and the City. Stereotypes would label the series as a male bashing, vain, and of corse sexual explicit mockery. I love it because is the naked truth of the reality of single men and women, bluntly stated. We are all in a fish bowl (in their case New York) trying to find our other half while maintaining our independence. The writers of that show took some of their own personal experiences and used the girls as their diaries. Genius in my opinion! Carrie offers insight through her thoughts throughout the show. Her column is always plotted out with her current events; Carrie: "Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away. " MY FAVORITE QUOTE OF ALL TIME WAS WHEN SHE REALIZED HOW MUCH MORE GUARDED SHE IS COMPARED TO PREVIOUSLY IN HER LIFE. SHE DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING DARING IN HER LIFE, AND TRIED THE FLYING TRAPEZE. THIS QUOTE CORRESPONDES WITH FLYING OFF THE TRAPEZE AND TRUSTING SOMEONE TO CATCH YOU. Carrie: "When you're young, your whole life is about the pursuit of fun, then you grow up and learn to be cautious; you could break a bone, or a heart. You look before you leap and sometimes you don't leap at all because there's not always someone there to catch you. And in life, there is no safety net. When did it stop being fun and start being scary? " The next quote is one of her last from the show, and it kind of sums up the theme and a finalization; Carrie: "Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous " Sometimes it's there in front of us. Carrie left with Alexander to Paris, and there she was in the most romantic cities in the world, yet something was missing. She realized that the man she was meant for was the one she always refered to, the beginning. She finally realized it when yet again, Alexander left her to roam alone in Paris. Carrie: "I'm looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love. And I don't think that love is here in this expensive suite in this lovely hotel in Paris. " ************************************************************ **

OUR COUNTRY IS BLESSED BY THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO RISK THEIR LIVES EVERYDAY FOR US... OUR MILITARY, FIREFIGHERS, POLICE.. ETC. THE PEOPLE RAISING MONEY FOR HURRICANE KATRINA, RISKING THIER LIVES, HAPPINESS, AND SECURITY FOR PEOPLE THEY MAY NOT EVER MEET. I AM NOT SHOCKED BY HOW WE BOND TOGETHER IN TIMES OF NEED. MY COMPANY IS ONE THAT I AM PROUD TO WORK FOR... MY CO WORKERS HAVE HERO ABILITY, FROM THE HAYDENS (OWNERS) TO THE MAIL ROOM CLERKS. I HAVE NOT CAME ACROSS ANYONE WHO IS ONLY OUT FOR THEIR WELL BEING. THE FAMILY OF MATT MAUPIN, THE ENTIRE GLEN ESTE COMMUNITY... WE HAVE SUFFERED THROUGH SOME BAD TIMES OVER THE LAST DECADE.
