I am Navajo originally from a small town near Southeastern Utah, which is in the Four Corners area. I am of the “Red Cheek People†and born for the “Bitterwater People.†My maternal grandfather is of the “His Sheaves ~ Leaf People†and my paternal grandfather is of the “Water’s Edge People.†This is how I identify myself as a humble and modest Navajo woman, that also loves to have her cup of joe from ye Coffee Bean to get me groovin in the AM! I am not really 90+ yrs old, LOL! The foremost important people in my personal life are my family, relatives and close friends…especially when they make you laugh, and one who lets you cry. I am the type of person that always looks on the bright side everyday, and have learned optimism is a skill I’ve cultivated to help me weather through life's rough spots. All the same, I am not perfect, but yet I try to be diplomatic about life and love in general. I am neither blindly positive, nor prone to dwell on slights and injuries, and I generally have a positive outlook that helps me prepare to take risks without being held back by bitterness or a fear of failure. Believe it or not, I’ve read somewhere that some scientists have theorized that there is an evolutionary advantage to optimism: Human beings may be programmed to view the world as just slightly better than it actually is, in order to recognize clearly any real threats to our well-being and handle them appropriately. Therefore, my ability to rise above negative thinking while remaining realistic about temporary setbacks is a great strength for me! Of course, humor and music keeps me healthy, sane and grounded as well.:)
