In the early 80's a star was born. Demetrius DeAndrae Thomas is his name and he is now known in the hip hop world as Devious . Devious stands out from other rappers in this industry because he brings the whole package to the game as an engineer, producer, songwriter, and entertainer. He has a unique sound as well as image and portrays himself as a pretty boy thug. Devious was born in St. Louis, Mo and was raised in Southern Mississippi where his musical roots originated.Devious is currently promoting his new hit single Do What You Do which features a hot sample from Jermaine Jackson with an old school twist to it. Hes been producing for only 4 years and is already considered one of the hottest beat makers in the East St. Louis area. Hes considered a local legend by many and is on his way to being one of the most talented entertainers out the Midwest. Instead of turning his time and effort into crime and hustling Devious put his time into his music career and his creativity. Devious had to literally use his music as a method of survival. His first record deal came in the year of 2000 with Can I Live Entertainment under the wings of Joe Johnson of the New Orleans Saints who was traded to the Green Bay Packers where he was part of a 3 man group called Trump Tight. The label went out on a huge promotional tour going in over 25 different states with their music and explosive performances. The group broke up in the end of 2002 due to financial problems with the record label and issues with other group members but this did not stop Devious at all, In fact, it turned a quiet, nonchalant artist into a beast among his fellow rappers at home. It pushed him to become one of the most talented artists and producers and you can hear it in every song he drops. Devious has performed with artists such as Twista, The Braxtons, Goodfellas, 2 Sense, Hot Boys, and Trina to name a few, and the list will continue to grow as time goes on. You can never compare Devious to an artist that you have already heard or watched because he is one of a kind and one in a million. He has his very own sound, accent, and charisma and together you have the recipe for an explosive young rapper ready to let loose on the industry.
