Cartoons, drawing, comedy, slam poetry, guitar, reading, random sports, hanging out with friends, philosophy, and making fun of people.
I'd like to meet:
I love meeting cartoonists and comic book people; people that make so many people laugh but never really get credit for it. I mean, sure, they get their name mentioned in the credits in a size font so small that it makes your eyes hurt trying to read it, but they rarely get recognized on the street or swamped with fans. I think of them as unsung heroes.
I love meeting people who I can have deep, meaningful, philisophical conversations with. Anyone who is both intelligent and open-minded is a wonderful conversation partner.
Ooh, I'd also like to meet George W. Bush, so I can give him a swift kick to the crotch. Actually, make that several swift kicks to the crotch.
Music:
Honestly, I listen to a little of everything. I like to listen to Tool and System of a Down, Frank Sinatra and the soundtrack of Phantom of the Opera. I like Mongolian Death Cloud, Danny Elfman, Stolen Babies, the Beatles, Tom Waits, Mindless Self Indulgence, the Rolling Stones, John Thorogood, Rasputina, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, and George Gershwin. These bands are only a few of the favorites I have spanning the realm of music. Honestly, I don't know if I could name all the artists I listen to. For one, the process would take hours and much space to write down, and I'm sure I would be constantly editing it, adding things that I know I had forgotten. Also, I am constantly expanding musically, listening to anyone and everyone that I can.
The only type of music I really don't get into is top forty/rap stuff. Generally, the genre is filled with materialism, objectification of women, and overall bad grammar. All just a pet peeve I guess.
