sex, drugs, and rock and roll - i mean, do things like that ever go out of style? or does it ever not seem like a bit of an overstatement - i mean, unless of course it is the early 80's and you are motley crue. i am not motley crue. usually. sawdust? who knows...
that kid that told me the impressions were what music sounded like before everything went plastic - i mean, i don't necessarily agree with him, but it is good music and a cool ass thing to say.

all of it. bring it on. my eyes are ready. really, i don't care. the good, the bad, the ugly - or even "the good, the bad, and the ugly" if it is on. my rods and cones are open for business.
i mean, i could lie to you and tell you that i read vertov's book of essays on early russian film theory and i fall asleep dreaming of revolution via celluloid - which actually sounds sort of cool, so maybe i will stick with that and say that i do NOT usually just read snotty music magazines and comic books. no no no - ver-tov. it rolls off the tongue. my friend penny, though, would be quick to point that i am also obsessed with biographies either of the music or sports variety. which i think is fine, but she always wrinkles her tiny nose - it's a good thing she is cute...
