About Me

I'm from Philly but moved to New York City about 15 years ago. I play guitar in Everyday Dollars, and I'm aspiring writer. Big fan of English Football, doesn't get any better than the English Premier League. I liked Chelsea before the owner bought all the best players in Europe, now they are just ridiculous, hey the owner wants to win, fuck it. I'd like to see Miilwall in the Premier League because they got the illest fans. I root for the underdog so I'm still a fan of all the Philly sports teams, Sixers, Eagles, and Flyers. I currently play guitar in the band Everyday Dollars, that I started with my friends RobDaly, Rich O'Brien, and Sean O'Brien (no relation except they are both ill.) Old school style hardcore band circa 1982-1985. Don't know what happened to the hardcore scene, nail polish and tight jeans are gay, and beat down parts don't make you tough. There are some good bands out there now but a lot of garbage. Give me some Negative Approach, Necros and YDI any day over most of the crap that is out there now. Started going to hardcore shows in Philly in 85, had some of my most memorable experiences at the CEC Center, The Krypt, Abes Steak House, Phi Lamb, Kennel Club, City Gardens, Club Pizzaz, and the Frankford Y. Props to the West Philly Drinking Crew and Plus Records. In 1986 my band Hinkley's Revenge played with Agnostic Front and Ludichrist at Club Pizazz and Jerry's Kids, along with Token Entry and Rest In Pieces in West Chester PA. Made the trip up to CBGB's with Pagan Babies in the summer of 87 and that changed my life. From then on came up to NYC to see the likes of Token Entry, Krakdown, GB, YOT, Underdog, SuperTouch, Raw Deal, Breakdown, Warzone, Rest In Pieces, Icemen, Side By Side, Sheer Terror, Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front, Leeway, pretty much the whole second wave of hardcore. Formed a band called Brickhouse with my good friends, Sauce, Dan McGinnins (from Pagan Babies), Tweets, Chokes, and RobDaly(from The Uprise). We put out a demo and then a 7inch on Street Level records, in 1989, 1990, but this was a time when the hardcore scene was on it's deathbed, fights almost killed the scene and there was nowhere for Brickhouse to play, we did play a bunch of shows in Reading PA, the biggest was with our friends Killing Time, but we played god awful and broke up soon after. The 7 inch is a classic piece of hardcore which was over looked. Since moving to NYC I've tried to stay in touch with Hardcore by going to as many shows as possible. I've done some acting, my mug can been seen in the backgrounnd of a bunch of movies. I used to DJ so I have decent record collection, Hip Hop from 1984 to 1994, classic rock, soul, reggae, hardcore, and punk.
