I Love music and all types have some merit even the ones I'm not as into . I love rock, blues, punk, ska, pop,R&B, classical new wave and trance-dance. I think Hugh Cornwell, the creative force behind the original Stranglers,is about as good as it gets. He has a true talent and a gift with combining words and music. Listen to his music and enjoy!I also think Etta James is a super blues singer and I esp. like her CD Seven Year Itch. Johnny Winter has a cool Texas blues sound. I like Muddy Waters CD that Johnny Winter plays on Called Blue Sky. Muddy was a master blues man!I also love The Doors,The Clash and Mumbo Jumbo,Chick Corea etc.Marley and Dylan are my two fav. Bob's. I once developed a crush on a guy when I was 14 who sang "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" at a school assembly. He looked like Dr. Beaker on Super Car.So music can blow your mind. Blondie is another group I admire and they are still doing what they love. I love to cook and do my own twists on whatever I'm cooking. I love to use herbs and spice and make the meal not only good for you but pleasing to the eye and the tastbuds. I love all foods of the world and like playing with mixing cultures and flavors to make a unique meal. I try to keep it organic as I can because it is true your body is your temple or for the mundanes, your car.Ilove dark chocolate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has ani-oxidents and it is heavenly!I LOVE my brown, tabby, male, named Ridley who is handsome and silly and my small tiger, who loves me! How could I not love such charm!
Hugh Cornwell,The Stranglers (Hugh Vintage), Bowie, Steeely Dan, U2,Concrete Blondie,Chick Corea, Blondie,World music,Beatles, Cold Play,Eric Clapton,Depeche Mode, Bruce Cockburn,Etta James, Johnny Winter,Muddy Waters,Iggy Pop, Bach,Charlie Parker, Schubert,Bessie Smith,John Coltrain,The Clash and so on.
The classic films I find to be better than most of the mindless slop that is coming out now. I love all the oldies like Greta Garbo,Laurel & Hardy,Jean Harlow and thirties musicals but I'm not into musicals in general, I just like the optical effects they used with the dancers.Cecil B. De Mill To Kill a Mocking Bird is great with Gregory Peck playing a father that everyone could be proud of, making a stand for true justice. Hitchcock movies I love and I always watch for him in his movies. The Misfits with M.M. and Clark Gable is a very heavy movie that I find upsetting but it shows how in some ways we are all misfits on some level. Cloak & Dager movies are fun. Some of the technology in kids movies is superb.I don't really watch them much but what I have seen is great. I loved My Fair Lady and wished I could wear her clothes. I also like well done UFO?Sci-Fi moveis. I crack up when I watch the classic Mothra or Mothra versus Godzilla they are so bad they are good. I think Sean Penn is a very good actor and Vigo Mortensen is up there too.Paul Newman & Sean Connory are two HOT and great actors! Yum!Then there is Jack! Nothing else needed!
When I was growing up my fav. show was "The Avengers"-with Mrs.Peel. I wanted to grow up to be like Mrs. Peel she was so cool and she could do whatever a man could do but with a female spin. John Steed was an elegant man who treated women with respect.Tara King is a Canadian, Linda Thorson and she is now on Emmerdale. I like Life on Mars and Most Haunted and most history and science shows. When I was 12 years old I had a thing for Patrick McGoohan who played on "Dangerman/Secert Agent Man". His classic show that he created was "The Prisoner" it still stands the test of time. Oh what a lustful tween I was!! Ofcoures he gave me very high standards when it comes to men. They have to be bright and strong from the inside out.I enjoy all the shows like "C.S.I.,Crossing Jordan, and House". Here is to David Shore who created "House". I used to work with him and my birthday is July the 2nd & his is the 3rd so we shared many a half together. He is one sharp man!I like " The Daily Show" and " The Colbert Report". They really stick it to the U.S. Government.
I read all the time. I like to have a book or two or three on the go. I think people who don't read are either dull or have not been shown the magic and freedom and knowledge that books offer. I like to read about-people's lives and what makes them tick. I'm a spritual person and I'm not into dogma for dogma's sake. Nature is a reflection of the higher power as we are. History, mystery spiritual things, places to travel to and the unknown are all things I love to read about. If I listed all the books I have read it would be hard to do. so the topics should give an idea of what I'm like.
I have read a bio and auto-bio on Carl Jung and I have to say his mind was unbounded. When I say that I mean his insights into the interrelatedness of all our minds would put him in a Hero listing. I have read some of his work and he is so on top of it. Also Neil Young who is a a Musical Masterpiece and not a sell out like so many other so called Rock Stars! He is also from Canada what more need I say except you make me proud to be Canadain too. Keep on Rockn' in the Free Word! I also have a hero who has helped me when I was ill and when my beloved cat Ridley died. He is bright and funny and talented. I guess he is in the know as to whom I mean.
