Merton was born and raised in Pensacola, FL. Singing since the age of 3 and playing piano since age 5, Merton was always to taught to use every gift given to him and put all that he had into his work. He grew up singing with his 3 sisters, mother and father..."The Huff Singers" began singing quartet and a capella learning parts at a young age. He began to play for a church at the age of 11 years old and has been growing every since. He is also a barber/stylist that has been making people look and feel better for the past ten years. He was a music major at the University of West FL and plans to finish school soon with a degree in Music Education. He's now working on his first solo album. He recorded with his choir "Brothers and Sisters In Christ" B.A.S.I.C. and also the male group "Chosen By Christ" CBC. He also recorded with the family(Huff Singers). He is founder of The United Praise Chorale of Florida & Georgia. The United Praise Chorale originated from a United Praise Conference founded by his younger sister, Evangelist T. Alisha Huff. GOD uses these young minstrels time and time again to minister revelation of his word and their hearts and prayers. The group is full of praise and worship leaders, songwriters, skillful singers and musicians who realize that if it wasn't for the grace of GOD, none of us would be able to minister. Merton's first solo project featuring "UPC" has been recorded and is expected to be released in 2008. He has shared the stage with gospel greats such as James Bignon, Ricky Dillard, B Chase Williams, Dorothy Norwood, Albertina Walker, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Yvette Williams, James Hall, Gerald Thompson and more.... Merton is ministry minded and loves people and definitely has a heart to help people. "I want to be a blessing to someone else....whether it's through a song, or a word of encouragement, or giving them something that would help them to go further....I hope and pray my music blesses others"
