About Me

Our civilization has reached an inflection point. We've enjoyed an unprecedented era of peace and prosperity that the world has never known before. For most of their history humans have had to struggle to meet their basic needs. Cheap energy and access to abundant natural resources have allowed for the manufacture of artificial needs. Our access to these is now endangered as is the world we've built upon them. It's time to ask yourself. What do I need?

My Interests

Peak Oil, climate change, dark humor, economics, permaculture, wilderness skills, music, art, history, mathematics, engineering, primitive fire starting techniques, paleo-skills, hominids, edible wild plants, blacksmithing, woodworking, Mongolia, exercise of the mind, body and soul

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet anyone whose filled with a love for life and realizes how precious the simple things really are. I'd also like to meet people with practical old world skills who are willing to pass them on.

Music:

An eclectic mix of everything.

Eclecticism--A conceptual approach that does not hold rigidly to a single paradigm or set of assumptions, but instead draws upon multiple theories, styles, or ideas to gain complementary insights into a subject, or applies different theories in particular cases.

Movies:

The ones that scare me

Television:

Depends on how you use it.

Books:

There are so many...anything to do with science or geopolitics, sociology, philosophy, DIY, biographies, some classics, wilderness survival guides, post-apocalyptic fiction, coloring books.

Heroes:

The people that have the courage to think for themselves and resist the status quo.
