Hailing from Rialto, a small town in southern California is not going to stop DeJonae from getting to where she wants to go. By writing all of her own music, she hopes to prove to the masses as well as the industry that she not only can sing, but is also an undenieably great songwriter. Without a record deal, DeJonae hopes to impress the Powers that Be who could open up the iron gates of this business to her. DeJonae has a beautiful vocal arsenal equipped with depth and soul hard to fathom from most artists, let alone a young girl just 19. DeJonae has been singing since the age of two and it is anticipated by anyone that has been lucky to see one of her live performances or hear her recordings, that she will take this business by storm and infuse some much needed soul with her undeniable vocal talent and stage savvy. She hopes ultimately to be in position in the rare company with only a handful of artists, including Brandy and Monica whose R&B debuts skyrocketed during their young year. "I want to bring R&B back with my own little twist," says DeJonae, "and I am going to work hard everyday to ensure my spot in the music industry so that someone can one day come up to me and say, 'your song got me through'." But, that's not all! In addition to her obvious talent, DeJonae is also a debutante and community service participant who recently participated in Revlon's Run/Walk in the fight for women's cancers.
