My Interests

My interests and things I enjoy include: camping, sewing, reading in the bathtub, natural health, crossing things off lists, social work, DIY projects, going to school, being creative, glass art and other crafty stuff, the great lakes, bike riding, gardening, seeing live music, thai food, tea, alternative energy, my pets, snuggling, a good pen, inspiring conversations and new ideas.

Music:

Love it! Especially music that makes me want to dance, or is inspiring. Seeing live music outside is the best! A few of my all time and current favorites are Bob Dylan, Micheal Franti, Paul Simon, Treetown Underground, Grateful Dead, The Talking Heads, The Flaming Lips, Neil Young, Beck, MoFro, The White Stipes, Andrew Bird, and many others.

Movies:

I like to watch them, but rarely remember them. Some of my favorites are The Big Lebowski, Royal Tennenbaums, Everything is Illuminated, Almost Famous, Kinky Boots, and most Will Ferrell movies.

Television:

The Simpsons, and Lost, that's about it. I also like Deadwood and Curb Your Enthusiasm, but have to rent them on DVD.

Books:

Some book that stuck with me are: A Fine Balance, The Kite Runner, Jitterbug Perfume, Hotel New Hampshire, East of Eden, and The Handbook to Higher Consciousness. I also really like to read magazines like Ode, Utne Reader, and Ready Made.

Heroes:

Ordinary people who do amazing things and don't even know it.
