If I could meet you on the street...

About Me

No-one is exactly sure when and where Mutley was born, but it is believed he was first found in the Pyrenees mountains by gypsies and circus folk who said that he spent the early years of his life being raised by wolves. He stayed with the gypsies until the age of 15, when he left to find work as a busker in Budapest. It was here that he met the strange and mysterious Count Rashmouk, who became Mutleys official guardian and mentor, teaching him Latin and English, in order to facilitate his entry into polite society. At the frequent bourgeouise social events that the Count would hold, Mutley would play swing-era bebop on a electric organ and sing songs like My Funny Valentine in an untranslated dialect. A strange tongue indeed. He would also juggle with fire sticks, tame snakes with a flute and offer tarot card readings. After a few years, the count became increasingly aware of Mutleys enchanting musical talent, and told him that he should leave Budapest, and try to find work as musician in a big city with flashing lights and dancing girls. Mutley did as was instructed, and ended up in a karaoke bar in Argentina called The Black Mamba, singing ballads into a tin can and playing various accapellas and bossa rythms. He played every night and every night the crowds of local farmers, tranvestites and pirates got bigger and biggger until he was forced to play on the roof of the bar. Word spread throught the land of the boy who sang under stars, and people would come for miles around to hear Mutleys laments and enchants. One day Mutley got a telephone call asking him to come to San Francisco to record a collection of his hits and melodies. He jumped at the chance, and before he knew it he had made his first album which he called Noir Soul , in homage to his lycanthrope past.
