Movies, comics, science fiction. You know, all of the geeky stuff.
Somebody who can make me laugh. Somebody who's more intelligent than I am, so that I have to work at it. It's no fun if I'm not challenged.
Believe it or not, I'm not really into music that much. Movies were my passion during my misspent youth, and I never got around to listening to much of anything. But my tastes run toward Billy Joel and such. Love 70's folk music. John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor. You get the picture.
Geez, where do I begin. As I look over my 2000+ DVD collection and wonder at all the time spent watching this stuff. Love horror films, science fiction, comedies. I love it all. My favorite movie of all time? Well, can't be just one, but someday I'll get around to putting up a list. I'll watch pretty much anything.
For many, many years I was a certified Trekkie (and NOT a Trekker, which is just a Trekkie who's embarrased to be a Trekkie) until Star Trek Enterprise ruined it all for me. Someday I'll return. Someday. In the meantime, although I don't get a chance to watch much television, I'm totally hooked on Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who and Stargate (all versions).
I mainly read true crime or biographies. Currently I'm reading Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama. Brilliant man. Future President if I have anything to say about it.
Anyone who follows their dreams. My pet peeve is people who just sit around and bitch that their dreams aren't coming true, but don't do anything and everything to make those dreams happen. (There are a lot of those people in this town, believe me!). Some specific examples of my heroes:Bobby Kennedy Astronaut John Young. Chuck Yeager. My father.Someday I'll explain reasons why for all.
