(Akedemikally Gifted) and Ghetto Da Vinci. I.L.G (Imperial lyrical Generals) a dynamic duo consisting of A.G. (Akedemikally Gifted) born Brian Head, and G. Da Vinci (Ghetto Da Vinci) born Nehemiah Head are two brothers born and raised on the Westside of Chicago, Illinois. A.G. was first introduced to music through his high school drum and bugle corps and already had a knack for writing which won him several regional literary awards in the city of Chicago. G Da Vinci fought hard to stay in school, however at that time; he found his lifestyle was more tailored to the streets surrounding him. Inspired by life around them, A.G and G. Da Vinci got their start in music by writing lyrics and producing songs for local artists, After several years of experience and versatility, A.G. and G. Da Vinci were sought after by many local artists for their ability to produce hit songs and their uncanny ability for writing razor sharp verses. They eventually began to produce their own tracks and write music for themselves, gaining much praise from local hip hop enthusiasts. In an industry hijacked by catchy hooks, where talent seems to be anything but a prerequisite, A.G and G. Da Vinci bring their own unique style of flow that can currently be heard on tracks ranging from east coast melodies to dirty south anthems. Staying true to themselves they deliver a series of mind blowing verses laced with metaphors and uncomplicated rhymes over mesmerizing tracks not often heard by today’s hip-hop artists. I.L.G. today can be seen going coast to coast performing at any venue they can find trying their best to add their flavor to the world of hip-hop. The emerging stars from the city of Chicago are currently igniting the Nations Midwest and Southern regions. Their own music and musical influence can currently be heard in clubs and radio stations all over the Midwest and southern region with radio spins, rotation at several nightclubs and most importantly, much sought after live performances. While the hip hop world overdoses on the illusion that life is all about shiny rims, iced out jewelry, and heavy drug trafficking. A.G and G. Da Vinci blend reality, lyrics and witticism, into every track they appear and guest appear on. Equipped with ambition and raw firepower the two artists will ignite the world of Hip-Hop in March of 2007 with their debut album, The Transformation.
