Its like a bikini wax. Painful, but necessary.

About Me

If you're reading this its because you know me. In some capacity anyway. Maybe we grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan together. Maybe we spent some time in the Air Force together. Maybe you worked at NSA. Maybe I was your bartender once or twice. Maybe you listen to the Faceoff Hockey Show. It could be that we simply drank together one night (or day). We may have even played soccer or hockey together. Maybe you know my fiance, Erik and thats how you know me. You might even be the daughter of a woman that gave me a free place to stay when I had no hope of making it on my own. (Which would make you one of two people I refer to as my "sister".)
No matter who you are, you know me in one way or another. And thats cool. I'm glad we can keep in touch without touching. It works for me. But if you dont know me in any capacity, and you're just searching aimlessly for people with similar interests, I'm sorry, but thats not why I'm here. Oh, and your "band" sucks, so stop trying.

My Interests

Hockey, Football, Beer, Wine, Music, Musicians, and a bunch of other crap that I can't think of right now.

I'd like to meet:

Mitzy Dalton-Huntly, Judy Garland, Bobby Orr, and Zoe.

Music:

The Avett Brothers, The Mountain Goats, The Decemberists, Tori Amos, The Beatles, most 80's rock, old school country (Patsy, Johnny, Hank), Garth Brooks, Kings of Leon, Tom Petty, Neil Young, The Honorary Title, and The Doors.

Movies:

Garden State, Big Fish, The Big Lebowski, anything Kevin Smith or Coen brothers (with the exception of Intolerable Cruelty), Nacho Libre, Coming to America, all Bill Murray, cheesy hockey movies, and Beauty and the Beast

Television:

Six Feet Under (boo to it for being over), Flight of the Conchords, Best Week Ever, and only the best of the worst reality TV shows (Americas Next Top Model, Rock of Love). I also "watch" a lot of guitar hero.

Books:

My resolution this year is to read a non-school book every month. I'll keep you posted here. January: The Catcher in the Rye February: Almost French March: The Red Tent April: I suck and didn't read a book in April May: Hockey: A People's History June: Choke July: This was the worst resolution ever. August: One of the books Blake recommended... not sure which one just yet.

Heroes:

Theresa and Ol' Boy, Lyle Richardson, Owen Wilson, Margaret Chenowith, Mr. Dressup, Ty Conklin, and David K. Barton.

A short rant about my iPod and why I cant actually use it

Okay, so Erik bought me an iPod for my birthday a couple years ago.  It was a pretty awesome gift and I was stoked to have it.  It made me instantly cooler.  It gave me the ability to c...
