About Me

Krackerjack was formed in December 1997 by guitarist/singer René Mikkelsen and drummer Jeppe Christensen. Recruiting organ player Claus Greve and bassist Thomas Kortholm the band starts gigging around their hometown of Vejle, Denmark and slowly builds up a following also outside of Vejle. By mid 1998 the band is down to a trio of Mikkelsen, Kortholm and drummer Theis Milo, but after various internal problems the original line-up regroups in May 1999. The album "Call Of The Wild" is recorded, but again due to line-up changes and indifference from record companies the album is not released [It has however surfaced now as "Call Of The Wild - The Early Years]. After a couple more years of line-up changes Krackerjack is put on ice in 2001, only to reappear stronger than ever in the Summer of 2003. This line-up - featuring Allan G. Pedersen, René Mikkelsen, Claus Greve, Rasmus Bruun and Lars Olrik - released the album "Good Thing Goin’" August of 2005, including 10 original tracks which all define Krackerjack’s classic rock sound in the style of Deep Purple, Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy. In November 2006 Lars Olrik left the band to be replaced by original Krackerjack drummer Jeppe Christensen, and the boys have just released their third album "Rock On!".
