Tony Blescia has been an incremental figure in the Italian music circuit since the 1980s. Having taken part in various Italian bands from an early age, performing as both singer and musician among the most popular live circuits in Bari. His first solo performance was in 1992, the year in which the self written, composed and produced song "COSA DICE IL CUORE" won in the Festival di Castrocaro Terme. It was in the same year that Tony signed his first contract with Warner Music and participated in the Festival of Sanremo in the cateogory of New Artist with his song, "QUELLO CHE NON SIAMO," from his first album "SDRAIAMOCI SU QUESTA CITTA'" (1993). In the summer of 1993 Tony became one of the major figures of the Cantagiro Tour.
With the song entitled "SDRAIAMOCI SU QUESTA CITTA'", he wins myriad contests, including that of Fiuggi, where he is awarded third place. The following year Tony teams with producer Gianfranco Bortolotti and moves to Brescia, where he spent an extensive period of time at Media Records. Here he creates, in collaboration with, Cristian Piccinelli, a series of hit singles, such as "DAMMI DI PIU'"', " DENTRO DI TE" and "VIA", all of which were included in the album LA STORIA DI NESSUNO (Warner Music-1996).
Due to VIA's immense popularity, Tony wins second place in 1996's biggest summer contest "Un Disco per l'estate". In addition "VIA" also wins at the "Sanremo Giovani" competition in November '96 where he immediately entered the finals of the Sanremo Festival in February 1997, with the popular ballad E TI SENTO. This song's astounding emotional impact wins Tony third place, which directly leads to the repackaging (inclusion of E Ti Sento) in the album LA STORIA DI NESSUNO (Warner Music-1997), produced by Bortolotti and Bruno Santori. In the summer of 1997, Tony makes his international debut in Canada with popular Italian artist Nek.
With the collaboration of Bruno Santori, Tony writes and releases the new album CUORI A META' (Warner Music-1998) which marks an important step in artistic maturity and also brings an end to the contractual relationship with major record label Warner Music. The title track of the album hits the charts with extensive airtime. In 2001, after three years of musical and new sound research, alternated by various author, artist and composer collaborations, Tony Blescia signs a contract with record label EDEL under producer Vanni Giorgilli, with the single TELL ME NOW (soulfood/Edel-2001) released in the summer of 2001, which explores nu garage/two step solutions.
In recent years, Tony has extenuated most of his efforts as both composer and producer for projects in Italy and South America, while concurrently writing and producing new songs that will be included in his fourth album. Fascinated as always with the continuous search and contamination of style and sonority, Tony initiates a collaboration with various Italian Hip-Hop artists, writing for Piotta in 2004 the Hit single "NON TI LASCIA" in which Tony appears as featured artist.
Between 2004 and 2005, Tony writes and co-produces some new songs for Tormento's first soloist album (ex Sottotono), and with him Tony sings in the hit single "IL RESTO E' INUTILE", released in January 2005 In September 2005 Tony's brand new second single UNA REGOLA NON C'E' comes out, which precedes the release of his fourth album. The brand new CD will be an eclectic record incorporating a kaleidoscope of sounds, which extend from funk to pop with a lot of incursions of urban and soul sound. Partially completed in the United States, this self produced album will include the collaboration of Paul KBOARD Iannattone, featured prominent international musicians, including Vinnie Colaiuta and Abram Laboriel.
