It's impossible for me to have a desire to meet someone if I don't already know them. I think the whole question is a Catch 22. But I will say that I have been really been fortunate to meet the amount of truely amazing people that I have. Don't get me wrong, the people that I keep, know that for every one of them that I have in my life, I had to go through 100 crazys! I've been told that I'm a Psycho-Magnet. Yet I'm a glutton for punishment so I'm open to meet people of like interest. People completly opposite of me. New friends. Maybe a guy that could keep up with me.
It's quite varried. Most just raise an eyebrow when they see my collection. I'm multi-lingual so I'm fortunate to enjoy the best from many places.CURRENT MOON lunar phases
This is the venue where I'm at my most masocistic. I love horribly bad movies. If the lead actress has a glass eye, krimped hair, and can't act, it just makes me love it more. I'm also a fan of extreamly depressing movies, the kind that make you feel like you just got ninja-kicked in the kidneys and stomach, and when it's over you don't even have the mental power to get up and leave the theatre or hit the stop button on your remote, so you sit there quietly watching the end credits. And if your most unfortunate to watch Asian Cinema or Kung-Fu movies with me, I'll just say now I'M SORRY!!!
I swear I'm not Amish, but I didn't watch T.V. for years. And I mean YEARS! But I'm getting over that and I'm starting to. But I find it frustraiting to find shows that I can watch on a semi-regular basis and not be insulted by their shear stupidity, or guilty for not being outside in the real world.
Again being a school junkie, my books of leasure tend to be the same. Text books, history books, favorite thesis papers, analitical prose, scociology books, etc.. If I'm to read stories or fiction I tend to enjoy them best on audio book. That's probably a back lash from my literacy professors who read to the class, or my grandfather who went blind when I was young, and we would hang out and be blind together doing chors and listening to books.
I know it sounds lame but I would have to say my mom. I come from a VERY complex, diverse, and sometimes evil family. She's survived the den of vipers and came out on top with an err of greatness. But the flip side of the coin is she's also the only person on the planet that can get under my skin and drive me crazy!!!I can't wait until I'm able to meet these guys in person. My dream is to be able to go on sabbatical retreat here and study with like minded people who understand that martial arts on the deeper levels has little to do with aggression and dominance but rather a way to connect with the divine.
