WE HATERPROOF MUTHAFUCKA!!!!

About Me

Even at an early age, Supreme was expressing himself through music. Beating on a coffee can in his playpen as his father, Latin Percussionist Ernesto Villarruel, beat the conga drum to Carlos Santana, Supreme was inspired by music and the ways it could affect people. Born and raised on Detroit's Southwest side, known as the melting pot of Detroit's Culture, his influences ranged from Al Green and Marvin Gaye to Ice T and Tito Puente. Through out his public School education, Supreme was drawn into Hip-Hop through friends and collegues by way of the "Freestyle battles" that took place in the caffeteria daily. Honing his lyrical prowess, and uncanny improvisational skills, He stepped out of the small lyrical skirmishes of the schools and into the larger arena of the streets. Matching wits with Rhyme Veterans, he soon proved his worth and established himself as a force to be reckoned with. From small shows and parties to much larger venues, he was also solidifying himself as an artist, who could conceptualize, not just string words together like most battle rhymers. By 1998 Supreme was recruited by a local rap group "Men of Myth and was dubbed "Slo-Motion" almost as an oxymoron, For Supreme's fast-paced, polyrhythmic, multi-patterned rhymes were anything but slow. in the summer of 1999 he dropped his first underground album "Strange Dayz" to a hungry audience and dazzled many locals with thought provoking cuts like "Before I go..." a gut wrenching reminder of how little time we have. Stemming from creative diffrences and group rivalries, Supreme left the group in search of something greater. in 2000 he began his journey into the realm of production. Learning to work various pieces of studio equipment in a short time, Supreme began amassing a wealthy Catalogue of tracks upwards of 1200 in the first year. As A joke, A local MC Supreme was producing for called him "the Supreme machine" and the name stuck. In 2001, he entered the "Spitfest" as Supreme to once again test his lyrical abilities in the combat arena. Catching the eye of St. Andrew's manager Mike D., Supreme was asked to perform in the shelter to a full house. Peforming songs from the Shelved project "a Miracle on 35th St." for the underground hip-hop crowd to much success. From that event stemmed a lasting relationship with local Rapper/Producer Helluva, who introduced Supreme to Vishiss, A local M.C. who had a staring role in the UPN show "Platinum". Unbenounced to Supreme, that meeting was his audition for a project known only as "fab 5". Improvising in Vish's Downtown loft, Supreme left an impression on the then Dreamworks signed artist. "You're gonna make it..." he said almost in disbelief. several months later, Supreme, Helluva, Vishiss and the two other members of the "fab 5" hit the road with Wu-Tang Members Cappadonna, Killa Priest, Remedy and others, in what was Supreme's first tour experience. Vishiss' Rapid fire fire flow was comlemented by Supreme's and the result was several mesmerizing Freestyle sessions on stage, and at one show, in the crowd. Supreme still makes the Hip-Hop music that he loves, but has shifted gears to include the latin music sensation known as Reggaeton. and will release two projects concurrent with each other, the english effort "supreme for president" and the spanish disc "el Arquitecto" in 2007.
